Post subject:  Spotify for the Netherlands

Just happened to stumble across the Spotify blog when looking for entries about the fall of the rock legend Ronnie James Dio when I found that Spotify is introduced to the Netherlands today! :o
Knowing that quite a few here are from the Netherlands I figured I'd post it here, as I couldn't find a post about it.
Check it out here. Apparently they have also introduced an open version with limited play time which requires no invitation, and as such the removed all invitations >:( meaning I can't invite anyone to the free version :(
Sneaky bastards.

Yep, I read that this morning on tweakers.

It is very likely because the company that handles the copyright issues demanded this, so it might be different in other places?

I don't think they will change the accounts that already got it, or I'd already have the Open version, but I still got the Free one.
But as they introduced the Open version of Spotify (and removed everyone's invites so no one can no longer be invited to the Free version) before they launched it in the Netherlands, the Dutch are not offered the chance to get invited by friends that had invites left, and are instead forced to use the Open version with the time limit if they don't want to pay for it :(
Sneaky and devious indeed >:/

I do love Spotify.

It's convenient for when you want to listen to music you wouldn't want to be caught dead with on your hard drive.
