You stand in a room with a table in it. On the table is a fork and a magazine which specialises in motor boats. There is also a door and a window.

What do you do?

Go to the window. Look out the window. What do I see?

Annarack gazes out into a lush garden which leads on to a tropical paradise. Palm trees sway gently in the breeze, and colourful tropical birds flutter playfully in the undergrowth. It is a most inviting scene.

Now what do you do?

Can you open the window?

Post subject:  Re: Moist's Textual Adventure

The window is jammed shut, probably due to age.

Go to the door. Is there a handle?

Post subject:  Re: Moist's Textual Adventure

There IS a handle. Annarack turns the handle, and the old door creaks open, letting sunlight flood into the room.

There are no arms. Just a magazine and a fork.

You're in the same room as Anna.

I'm starving.
I begin to eat a random page of the motor boat magazine, using my fork; I am a polite man.
It's stale, it's no good.
The open door with the Annish silhouette in it somehow drowses me.
I return to sleep.

The magazine pages were coated in cyanide. You're not sleeping, you're dead.

Orange has died.

The search was unsuccessful.

I go back to the table, grab the fork and magazine and go back to the open door. How far is the floor from the door?

Dekar heads outside in to the lush open greenness. As he heads out in to the garden, he notices a path that leads down the hill and in to the forest.

What I meant was, the floor outside, I don't want to break my neck when I step outside.

Your inventory is empty.

Dekar follows the path in to the forest. Soon, the sun is gradually blocked out by the heavy palm trees above. Unknown species of birds sound off all around him. He approaches a bridge running across a small river.

Nah you're fine. You won't break your neck.

You can't pick up the magazine or wield the fork. Anna has them.
