deleting cookies didnt work. neither does re-logining, and the mark read all thing.

is that thing you linked phenomenon any good?

Yeah, CCleaner is actually quite famous and regarded well.

Anyways - it's obvious that clearing cookies wouldn't work since phpBB uses MySQL for session tracking (and stuff like read topics etc.) - if there is a problem it must be server-side.

Yes CCleaner is very famous for it but there are also many other utility for the clean up.if CCleaner not solve your problem then try with the tune up.
