So I got a laptop to replace my desktop and for me to take to university, it has these specs: Intel i7-720QM ATI HD4830 320gb hdd 4gb ddr3 ram etc... w/e Runs TF2 always over 100 fps, but I have a hugeeeeeee problem. My mouse feels really laggy specifically in TF2; I have exactly the same settings/config as I do on my desktop, same mouse driver settings blablabla. This is bad since this stops me being super pro l33t as you all know I am. It is rather annoying since I am going to sell my desktop, so it would be nice to get this sorted. I have applied the windows 7 registry fix for mouse acceleration, also I lowered the mouse usb polling rate from 1000hz to 500hz which seemed to help a little (I also tried 125hz but that made it worse). Any idea's why this could be occuring? I really hope its not just the usb ports are shit. |

I'm using a deathadder, it's not the mouse, because switching back to my desktop system, it's absolutely perfect again. |

Try disabling multicore rendering. That always made my mouse feel laggy when I was on my shittier GPU. Your fps will probably suffer from it though ;/ |

if you're interested, some info on your graphic card. Also some nice comparisons on scores compared to other cards and the same card in different laptops and there scores. |

I'm assuming you updated all drivers and ran all windows updates? |

yup, latest ati drivers, latest windows update. Not sure about the bios though edit: just tested it out again, and I found I had one threading console command enabled which is known for causing mouselags, don't know how I missed it, that in combination with turning off multicore seems to have worked! Slightly annoyed that I can't use all my cores, but oh well ![]() |

Try completely removing your mousedrivers and play without them for a bit, see if that's different. |
