I don't really see an issue with people creating their own intro posts. It makes discussions possible below the introduction. Way nicer then 1 gather topic imo.

Fair enough, but I just don't think it is attractive to have every man and his dog on their own topic 1 or 2 posts long, but thats just how I like ma forum times!

Agreed with SaintK - we get to know the guys better that way and community integration is what we are all about. Actually I was pleasantly surprised to see more and more people introducing themselves on the forums and even venturing out to the non-Minecraft sections.

BTW - I think we have to work on getting the flags for Minecraft players to show up. We have everybody's nickname and IP but we must parse the PlayerDB (which is actually a CSV txt file) to get it out.

Fair enough then, I will ironically delete this apparently pointless post after Orcworm remakes his intro, sorry.

I am FillerB. Besides an Op SupOp Trustee, I am also a tutorial spambot. Those are my guides you newbie-guests never read, because I am clearly a spambot. Also spambots never lie.

Pointless waste-of-time threads ftw !

edit:
Speaking of wastes of time, Look what I just found while strip mining in the SMP server

Yep, random chicken in the middle of an underground strip mine. And yes, it laid an egg.

edit #2: I've named him Joe

Uhm - you named the chicken Joe? If it laid an egg it is obviously a hen. Gender confusion much? Pretty much like the story with Gentoo's mascot Larry the Cow. ;-)

It has a waddle, making it a dude-chicken. I suspect it STOLE eggs out of their nest and randomly drops them in order to mind-f*ck people.

Edit: Ain't it great how threads about introductions become discussions of chicken gender?

Yeah, SMP has day night now, too, making it look cooler.

I'm prototypedesign, by the way. I build Escherian Machines. And whatnot. Fear Feed me.

Well I guess to avoid clutter I'm going to de-derail this thread. :P

I'm Hafnium! I've been op for like a month and a half or something, but for the majority of that time I was traveling and unable to Minecraft.

I live on the east coast of the USA, and I'm going to college, majoring in computer science. That's all you need to know about my age and location.

Also, I'm apparently illiterate, or so your forum says at least...

Post subject:  Re: Freebuild Introductions

Hi everyone. You may recognise me from the freebuild server. I am InTheGlory, and I thought it was about time I should register and say hello.

There isn't much to say really. I enjoy building in Minecraft. I like being technical in my designs, creatively. My most elaborate creations so far are the Royal Sands Super Casino in advbuilder4, and also my Ascension in advbuilder4. I have also done a few pieces in CityBuild5, including the tall rounded towers connected by walkways.

My immediate build plans are to continue to help out in CityBuild5.

Nice to meet you all!

Hello everyone I'm Aleries and am currently a SupOP on Freebuild. I am 23 years old and live in Pennsylvania which is on the eastern side of the United States. Recently I have graduated college receiving my Bachelors in Science majoring in Information Technology, and minoring in Homeland Security.

For me SpecialAttack's Freebuild was the first server that I chose to play Minecraft on. I am glad that I chose it and have had the chance to meet many great people cause of it. I look forward to staying for a long time and making many great memories with everyone here.

Cheers,

Side-Note: I would also like to take this time to thank the person that put a lava-beam thru my Star Destroyer on 'space2'.

They probably saw my two ships in the background and thought "hmm maybe I can blow shit up here". The only problem is that I built both of those.
