Just wondering what you have running as well as
playing minecraft. For me I just put my iPhone on shuffle and listen to that. Vary rarely I have the television on.

I usually have about >9000 tabs / windows open, and PS3 on the secondary monitor :) .

I usually have an IRC client, Photoshop/Illustrator, one or two text editors, winamp, sometimes winscp/putty one or two browsers and mumble.

That's usually what I have running day to day anyway.

2 instances of firefox (1 with reference pictures of whatever I'm currently building, 1 with random crap)
mIRC (for backtracking in the MC-chat)
MSN (general convos)
Programmer's Notepad (programming stuff for school/personal projects)
Notepad (taking notes)
Word (school stuff/drafts of the MC-guide)
fooBar (music)

needless to say I rarely actually power down my laptop =/

The same, I have itunes up on random, usually i have freebuild AND alpha up so i can switch back and forth, i usually have the forums up so i can reference them when needed, irc, and also a chess game going on as well, i looooove chess...its as addicting as minecraft to me :ugly:

Firefox, mIRC, sometimes MirandaIM and Remote Desktop - usually nothing else, since I like to keep both my Desktop and my Taskbar clean. And I don't like listening to music on my computer - LOL.

Always have a tv show on from my many pirated one on my computer when I'm doing menial things (like digging for example). A lot of the time mIRC or Ventrilo, and on occasion I play guitar.

Pfft... Oh dear. Here's my list:
WoM client or SMP
WoM folder open [if it freezes, easy to close + run again]
mIRC
Firefox with youtube+Facebook + >10 random tabs
MSN, Skype, Yahoo Messenger, AIM
iTunes on shuffle
uTorrent running in the background
FirstClass email (For school)
Word document [generally only one containing a story I'm writing/homework]
Ventrilo[occasionally]

And this is just on my computer. XD

All this + texting people on my phone, drawing something random, and the occasional watching of the tv.
I'm a girl. Multi-tasking is my forte.

As the nerdy girl I am, I generally have open:
Minecraft
Terminal - one running minecraft, one for scanning logs, one for compiling code, a few for secure connections, and one for random stuff :)
Text Editor - For coding stuff
Sims 3 - Most awesome game ever
Thunderbird Email
ITunes
AudioHijackPro - Changing the volumes of programs, or making songs karaoke to sing along with my roomate
Google Chrome - Internet for talking with friends and browsing for stuff to buy :)
Digsby (MSN, AIM, FACEBOOK, YAHOO, and a few other IM services in one)


I have all these launch when my computer boots!

I love computers :)

I usually have Google Chrome up with 2-20 tabs [FB, stumble, grooveshark (music)], teamspeak to chat with chickens, Trillian for all my IMing purposes, sometimes itunes
