Stop being such a little shit.

Elaborate for the guy, and tell him why he won't be promoted.

I'd elaborate if I considered it even mason worthy, but, same as the 'big building without hacks' guy, I thought he was either drunk or joking.

Well then, why don't you keep your assumptions to yourself and let somebody who isn't a complete wang reply to people's entries?

Like Dreadniah.

Another thing with that castle, other than making it bigger, would be to create an actual inside to it. I noclipped through the door and it was all solid inside.

I will elaborate when there's something to discuss, and I won't keep my opinion to myself, since I'm supposed to vote. Right now, it's a really simple castle, and furthermore, not even creative, and therefore, it isn't even mason worthy.

What opinion? All you said was 'No'.

That's not an opinion. That's just being rude.

Post subject:  Re: Disney Castle for architect promo.

No it isn't; rude was my first thought of this building, the 'No.' was my vote for his promotion.

We don't have arch votes up yet as it really should be the Mods posting the images here not the applicants, it really should be private and it should be on a poll. As none of these things are happening you can tell that at the moment this should be an opinion on the guys work.

I agree with Moist don't be such a wang.

Please pete and mcmoist just stop arguing :D id greatly appreciate it! This is about this guys promote, but that seems to already be solved. Twitch heed this forum's advice! Its nice to look at and a pretty nice build but more of a mason build(as has been stated previously) I cant say much that hasnt been said but I am going to Make the decision to say that Twitch should not get architect rank for this build :) sorry man, and i dont know if its only spa members who can lock threads or whatnot but this one seems to be over so anyone who can, feel free to lock it :D (also to keep mcmoist and pete away form each other :ugly:

I'll be honest with you. A castle of that size (quite small), modelled after a real life structure, with no interior, wouldn't be worth Mason. It's pretty, but it needs a ton of work done. As for architect, it would need a massive up-scale (x4+) with far more detail.

...I like it

But not for architect, but I think people are really wanking this arch thing up. It should be more than the old adv, I agree, but the vibe that I am getting is that one person has to do an Imperial City each. The Imperial City has been made by many people over a LONG time and it isn't even slightly finished. Arch should be possible to attain after all..

As others said its pretty good but way, way too small for Architect.

I think Frank the Dragon (on firelands) is a perfect example of what an architect-build should be. Big and detailed as hell.

Uhm, didn't you use that castle to get Mason? :/

I remember telling you to make it more 3D when you asked to be promoted....

Can someone explain me why minecrafters only seem to judge result, were in my opinion the entire community is not about results, but about the effort/fun someone puts in it/has with it building it?

Hell no, Mason is like the old adv, architect is just a recognition of you being an UBER builder, I think there should be less architects than ops.

Because this game isn't about FUN or EFFORT, this game is serious business like exam results and your JOB only the results matter.

Don't come here advocating enjoyment.. we won't listen. SERIOUS BUSINESS I TELL YOU SERIOUS GOD DAMN MOTHERFUCKING BUSINESS

Well, the results kinda show the effort, and I'm not giving a guy the ability to promote just because he had fun while building a tiny castle.

That's the entire root problem. You tread ranks like some sort of status, were ranks are meant for order only. Why do you think SpA thusfar never had any different "ranks" in the community (cept for the management/techteam "split", but this is just for easy administrative reasons). Other then that everyone is equal. The only thing we care about, is fun. And this is best shown by the decision for example to remove warteam #1 from the community as it was way to competitive and didn't fit in our style. Minecraft is starting to look like that. And if you want to keep the SpA support, that is certainly something that *needs* to change.

But dude, I understand that, but Minecraft is a rank game, we need the ranks for organization, since it's an extremely unorganized game. Furthermore, there are guidelines about how to get each rank, and although I don't think the architect rank should exist, it does, and Lim already said he won't take any more 'advice' about the topic. The whole problem is people think architect is a extension of the builder rank, but it isn't, same as Trustee isn't an extension of the op line. Trustee is for people Lim trusts, only that. Architect is for the best builders on the server. I still think Architect shouldn't be able to promote, and therefore, shouldn't exist, but as I said, it's all up to Lim.

Having a high status/rank shows recognition that is looked up to by the people below you.
Having the ability to work to get to a higher status/rank is what makes many people keep playing, it's our competative nature.
