Ello fellow bandwidth abusing minecrafters. We're up for another record bandwidth usage this month, 4TByte (4000GigaByte) worth of Minecraft data! This means we'll have to get the DC contract upgraded once more with 1TB, which means extra costs! So for you the task to draw those wallets, plunder those bank accounts and empty those socks full of banknotes and send some in the direction of finance@specialattack.net Thanks in advanced ![]() |

Minecraft.net seems dead (or at the very least incredible slow) yet again so that will help out =D. |

Ruh roh. I may have to implement some drastic bandwidth-cutting measures soon, like switching to 100ms tick instead of current variable 50-100ms tick. Or maybe updating player positions when in direct proximity. Edit: I've been told that actually most of the bandwidth use is due to Notch (i.e. SMP). Can't do much about that. |

Sorry bout bringing this topic back from the dead, but do you have a breakdown of SMP traffic vs Freebuild? Either total or average rate? |
