Naming the Regions Regions are named buddy! http://minecraft.specialattack.net/inde ... gional.png <--- Map here! Naming the Land Features Major topographical features should be noted as well throughout the course of the game (like your significant rivers, mountain ranges, water bodies etc.). The discoverer will obviously get credit for the name and call it what they want within reason, and all these distinctive land features will be kept track of in this thread. These will need to have proposals in post form, including either a position for something smaller (such as a mountain peak) using the /getpos command, or an edited map with the effected area indicated (for things such as rivers and forests, and don't forget to use "hidden" if you post it!). Along with this must be a proposed title and a reason for the name. "Because it is an awesome name" is an accepted reason.. it doesn't need to be called something for a particular reason, however it is nice to say "I want to call it Vagina Valley cause it looks like a Vagina". (...Vagina Valley will not be an accepted name Unless the valley REALLY looks like a vagina) I have made the map a perfect circle according to where we can go in the 2100 block radius. I hope to see a fully tagged and labelled map at some point, with landmarks, islands, cities, and everything. I will keep this updated at the Wiki with a link here. |

Didn't fully read all of your post but just to let you know the 'no man's land' west of southern Region 2 is actually traversible, the islands anyway (The ones that are connected by a single dirt path, you can make it out on the map above). My treasury is there so I hope it doesn't get deleted ![]() |

Region 3 nw and se, I plan on making an artificial island based on the palm islands in Dubai. Just another suggestion for the naming. |

By the way - when you figure out all the naming I can install a plugin on the server that allows setting labels, which can later be rendered on the minimap. |

It is there, it is transversible, just no point in naming until we get more radius because I don't feel it is a significant enough landmass.![]() Scrathy wrote: Region 3 nw and se, I plan on making an artificial island based on the palm islands in Dubai.
...so....call it Dubai?Just another suggestion for the naming. [SpA]Lim-Dul wrote: By the way - when you figure out all the naming I can install a plugin on the server that allows setting labels, which can later be rendered on the minimap.
Will those labels also work for the wiki? Because I want to keep that constantly updated as well with land feature names as well, which would obviously work better in my control if I just keep stealing your land overlays. Or we could find a happy medium, where I do the wiki and you do the minimap.

Probably a little off-topic, but we have a city in region 1, Aleries is building one in 9b IIRC, so I think it would be cool to have a city on region 2... On the totally cool harbor near region 1... I am ok with taking the lead on the project if no one else wants to, but I guess this would be after we're done with Aleries' idea. The idea is to have a sea-city; a port... |

Dude go for it, we like cities. We want cities. We crave cities. Inter-city shit is where it is AT. You can have cities wherever you want provided they aren't too close to each other. That is fine. |

We can all see Region 2. But get some naming suggestions in! I don't want to have to lamely name all the Regions myself. Pete, you should name Region 2, Aleries, the Region 9's. Maybe something oriental like the city? |

Accepted. But that should probably be it for the SpA related names. Think Medieval I guess.

I want to call the city 'Venice'. Yes, I'm original; but I want it to have river thingies instead of streets... And it would be a double gulf thingy... totally sexy/hawt. Anyways, for the region..... Noble Poisons Province Bitter Kingdom Ignited Requiem Empire Fallen Angel Isle Sugar Province of Bob the Wizard Of course you might be looking for something different... In that case, I shall let someone else decide... |

I've also begun flattening an area for another city on the large island thingy in Region 8. No plans or name YET besides some vague ideas so expect them soonish. |

Who are you again? Do you have a red name like everyone else who is asking for a city? Do you at least have a blue name? |
