I found out about it after reading an article on Reddit a couple months back.

Usually I don't listen when he's telling me about new games he's playing, but I quite liked the idea of building stuff. So I went in, built a few things, then never played it again.

If I'd known it was going to bring in a stream of the biggest douche bags I'd ever met, I would have killed Lim there and then.

And now it's too late. I don't think killing him would stop it now...

I was aware that Minecraft existed from the very day it came out since I'm semi-active on TIGSource but initially I was completely unaware what it was about - didn't even try it. :-\
I actually got into Minecraft when one of my online buddies, who streamed various stuff a lot, decided to give it a go and we all joined some random server (being on Ventrilo at that ^^) and had lots of fun.
I then proceeded to plan out an EPIC project which was supposed to be a 200x100 3D penis lying on the ground. I made sketches in Paint and such but didn't fully grasp the scope of my endeavor - while I did join a server and started working on it (the outline and some initial layers were fully done!) I was banned by some admin and thus the story ended.
Later on I organized a SpA Minecraft Weekend and left the server running afterward, which is how SpA Freebuild came to be. =)

I was just about to come off my laptop, but I came across some blog off interest that had nothing to do with minecraft. Scrolled down and saw the video that's on the mc index page, thought heh this looks fun, I'll give it a little golololololol, before I have to pack my stuff for uni. Result was I went to uni, with no spoons, plates, or phone charger.

Well, as i posted in my "who are u" topic...
Well... About 3 months ago in my school computer room at lunchtime there were 2 people playing this wierd game, "Minecraft" It looked stupid so i didnt bother playing it. After a while some of my friends tried it and said it was really good! I reluctantly went and tried minecraft. I didnt really figure out multiplayer for a while. I went onto a few crappy servers just by looking at the names with noone on them. I then got disheartened by the crap servers. After a few weeks i decided to go back on there, My friend (Axtrom) had discovered Special Attack Freebuild and i decided to go on there. We did a build together (hotel) and then a separate one each for our builder rank (I did a house with underground areas and a airlink to the hotel, also thanks to don_don_don for the promo) We then built another hotel in a builder map to try and get ADV (not a good idea) and got poo-pood (now i see why) for trying for adv with that. Axtrom eventually came into mod status and promoted me to Mason for "pure awesomeness". I did do some builds which he took into account too though. Just as i was trusted enough by Xesdra to become a Mod, Axtrom became Op the next day. I was mod for about 2 days before the reshuffles. Personally i liked the excitement of guests begging for promos and reviewing buildings. Anyway, i do understand why the changes needed to be made to stop all our supops from going insane! I got demoted to guest for a while (by autopromote) and then got promoted to Veteran (cheers autopromote , say hi to your mum xD) Oh, and somewhere in there i got Alpha for the skins .
