As much as i really enjoyed the back story and the character development in this episode, it didn't stop me from feeling a bit unsatisfied with the episode as a round off to a pretty compelling series. Some part of me feels that the might have tweaked it after finding out they were getting a second series because if they originally thought this was gonna be just a 6 part mini series, i would have thought the ending would have been made to be more epic and make the 6 episodes come together so it was a stand alone series. So, as much as i enjoyed it, and i really liked the Doc's character, so calm and collected, i kind wish it was conclusive enough to make the 6 episode series into 1 standalone series you could enjoy by itself, but still keep it open ended to allow the story and character continuation. It's strange to say, but my favourite part was the near rape scene, just purely because of how much drama it adds, how much more weight it adds to the floating issue that has yet to been aired, and Rick is still oblivious to it all; it represents and awesome nugget of progressive character development and advances a very juicy plot line.
Also, I recommend watching the making of, if you can find it, because it is really refreshing to see a lot of talented individuals (AND TV executives!) being genuinely excited and more importantly passionate for the shows production.
