Sold me at "post apocalypse"! Rarely, if ever, seen any post apocalyptic films or series that mixes genres so this does indeed sound interesting :)

It's a bit like Res Evil and 28 Days Later though don't you think? Waking up alone in a hospital to find out the world has turned into the living dead??

Nevertheless it still looks awesome. I'll certainly be downloading watching this :5:

After reading it was post apocalyptic I figured it was something like mad Max or book of Eli with zombies added to the mix ><
My bad. Post apocalyptic != nuclear aftermath :(
No matter the fancy terms, I liked it, and want more of the stuff :)

I do remember watching 28 days later... though I don't really remember the film in it self, except that it was lots of zombies in it and I did like it. Actually liked 28 weeks later too :o
Wonder what memories lies buried in my head... my memory is not as good I wished it was :(

This maybe an intellectual nadir for me but I read that as fact for a second :(

Just realised that Lenny James seems to be specialising in the end of the world too, first nuclear destruction to zombies.

I was stoned out of my mind when I watched this show, but it seemed pretty decent, other than taking the whole surviving the apocolypse w/ a coma thing from 28 Days Later.
It's kinda refreshing to have somebody who actually KNOWS HOW TO USE A GUN in a world of zombies. Usually these guys are like "which end do I put my dick in?"

Also, it's kinda cool to recognize some of the scenes they shot in (it's filmed in Atlanta, where I live when I'm not in school)

Yeah it was a pretty good first episode. I do hope that they DON'T follow the storyline from the comic since the first couple of issues aren't that great compared to some of the later story's.

Wow, nice catch. I could have watched that scene 50 times and not noticed that, lol.

Edit: on closer inspection that "zombie" has a pretty clean face. Is that pic real?

Makes perfect sense though, you often feel like a brain-dead zombie in the morning, and coffee is the perfect cure! :o
Zombies just need ridiculously large amount of it to cure themselves! :s

Oh crap, you are right :(

Though on a positive note, it has been renewed for a second season and it seems that the second season will have 13 episodes. I just hope it won't end with the Joss Whedon-effect, awesome series that are cancelled way to early :P

Watched episode four last night, have to say, im really loving this series. I was gripped, i was curled up in my bed, eyes glued to the monitor, and i was really on edge for the characters.

Granted, it's not a very original idea, including the amnesia thing, but... what the hell is really wrong with that? :|

We have noticed a trend in Hollywood that the movies are mostly unoriginal remakes and the majority of them are done badly. This is clearly unoriginal ideas being done with little effort. TV in America has had such a massive boom of recent years, with hit shows, and the fact that they can make more money off the shows in the long term. Now you get shows like this where, sure the concept isn't highly original, but its done perfectly. It has excellent character development (note EP4 has alot of this as well as action) which imo is crucial for a decent narrative.

And, the best thing about this show, it has piss all to do with a punch of "fangy" emo vampires moping about love... (nothing has changed much other than the outfits) .... dont get me wrong, i dont hate vampires (old school ones) but i didnt mind true blood, till the 3rd series, when they stopped the orgys and moved onto really really fruity warewolf bikers :S and just vampires acting like bitches.

Anyway, watch EP4! its awesome :D

Damn I gonna fall behind with all this baby caring :-)

Have no 4 to watch - agree the first 3 have been really good. I'm also not that considered with overall originality - as long as its made well then its good with me!
