Like noone ever was!

Who is your favourite Pokemon and why? As you can tell by my avatar, it is Suicune.

Pokemon Gold was my first game I ever got, and I chased that bugger around for ages, and I caught him and I was all like woot! Then I got Pokemon Crystal and everyone told me Suicune was gay, but I stuck with him and now he is level 100 and pwns.

Crystal is the 3rd game of the second gen. You know how there was Blue + Red and THEN Yellow. It was Gold + Silver and THEN Crystal.

Crystal has a slightly different storyline focusing on Suicine and more features. The japanese version even had a sort of online play trough a mobile phone attachment.

Also Flareon, because it looks so damn awesome.

Pokemon red was one of the most fun games I ever played (mainly cause I was 7 or smthn, I hadn't played a lot of games then) and you somehow got very attached to that first batch of pokemon you trained. No matter how crap they were :p

Suicune
Tyranitar
Mew
Charizard

All level 100. TRAINED to level 100, none of this rare candy duping bullshit.

I know this is the general opinion held by most people, but I still kind of hate it when people do this. Sure there are some pretty gay pokemon, but not ALL of them are bad, and some of the newer ones are pretty awesome. Metagross, salamence, milotic, breloom, and many more are completely fine pokemon. Some of the generation I pokemon suck too, EG: Mr. Mime, Jynx, and a few others.

In your mind, you're used to seeing them, and associate them differently than you do the newer ones. Since you liked them as a child (or when you were younger), you see them positively. In reality, most pokemon per generation, barring some pre-evolutions (EG: Mime jr) are equally poor/rich in design. Its all a matter of perspective.

And in terms of competitive battle, no matter what tier or generation you play, all the games suck.

I'm not playing many games at the moment, too much work, but I am playing a bit of golden sun and pokemon platinum (the last pokemon game I played when I was young was gold) and it's just as enjoyable if not better.

The english version of Golden Sun 3 comes out later this month right? And yeah the games are definitively becoming better with each generation. The pokemon themselves... not so much. Although that may just be the nostalgia glasses speaking.

I dislike Pokemon. Never got the point at all the games weren't that good and the animie was worse. In fact that goes with 90% of animie popular with non-Japanese speaking audiences.
