Post subject:  Sale of Diamonds: REBIDDEN
Due to the recent heist from the SpAradise City Warehouse (containing 1000+ diamond blocks now missing) by some unnamed people who griefed a considerable amount of the Industrial District, the sale of diamonds is now forbidden.

Until this player comes forward and hands back the diamonds and accepts punishment, anyone selling diamonds will succumb to inventory checks and further consequences.

Player caught and banned. Sell at your discretion.

Good Plan Ollie, there was this guy this morning, "brianreddwarf" who came into my house, gave me 1 diamond, then went into my mine and placed 8 more. He was found to have an inventory full of them and got away with a warning. He then left and i haven;t seen him again.
And yes, the 9 he put in my house were put in lava :D

I thought he was duping, so those particular blocks...um...don't really exist anymore. If he stole them from SpAridise, /item them back and ban brian.

SomethingAmazing, WE didn't dupe them. They were confiscated from PetePorty by Lim and others. Some were destroyed, some were donated to us. They have since been destroyed. Brians invent was cleared and the player was banned.

I think you should stay out of it.

I sorta feel a bit proud that i helped discover Brian and his ways. At first i/we thought it was duping because he randomly put 9 diamonds in my house, then made a structure out of them outside. I am very glad that the diamonds have been returned and that i helped in some way.
I hope to help find more of these bad eggs in the future! Also, after he got a warning he left and said looks like this is the end of SMP for me! or something along those lines.

Wait, just my 2¢, shouldn't you guys not have 1000 duped diamond blocks? Even if it is "donated", wouldn't it make more sense to throw most of them in lava? Because the SMP economy was pretty f***** up last time I saw it. If you keep the crap from raids, it just messes up the economy even more. Yeah, yeah, yeah, the city keeps raided items traditionally.... But what I would like to say is that the economy would be healthier if duped blocks were not kept, and people with /item would not distribute ANYTHING, unless it's like sonething special (ex, player needs something for a project), then only grant them exactly enough for the project.

And please do not blow up at me for posting this, it's just my opinion, and I still can voice it.

There IS no economy because every guest and they dog dupes, steals, cheats, all sorts of shit. Until the game is stable enough to stop these problems they will remain as problems. Also the point of the story was he GRIEFED the city and THEN stole from it. People with /item don't distribute, because we are trusted. Why did you input? You didn't know the situation beyond the fact that I was protecting what little economy we had by forbidding the sale.
