Can we blame them? Not at all, why should they know any better? We're punishing them on rules they're not even aware of. There needs to be a clear way of showing them the rules, so they can't claim ignorance. Not handling this problem, is turning a blind eye to a real issue.
+1
There's no consensus about the rules, even when they are writen;
That rule is out of date, then.
Recent actions have show that they're not against the rules, they only are deemed against the rules when used for griefing purposes. e.g building it on someones house.
We need updated, easy to find rules for the new members, this forum is full of debates about wich are the real rules; I like this server but it feels like everyone is always walking on thin ice.
Fine!
Heres my beta rules:
1. No griefing
2. No swastikas (UNLESS on something like a historic German building), if you are caught you will be instantly kicked, and if you make another, banned.
3. No penises UNLESS it's on something like a replica of michalango's David or the like. Also, no statues of people having sex.
4. No block spam
5. No speed-griefing (you will instantly be kicked or even banned if you do this)
6. Light cursing is allowed in the chat, sexually explicit chat is prohibited.
Yeah, very beta/simple, but WAY more concrete. My take on penises is that they are banned, unless they are made as a work of art (and even so, should be on a member world, surrounded by a box). But we need concrete rules like this badly.
Also, is it better to warn before freezing? Like someone griefing, should I warn or freeze then warn (then unfreeze of course)?
