iv realised that not alot of ops+ go on minecraft sometimes leaving vets and members to deal with griefers and today me sanjar and flodder were the only high ranks (vets) on today for a while and three vets cant handle watching constantly for crap loads of greifers so either more ops+ need to be on more or you start promoting.

also we need the option to mute because there wer alot of ppl making dirty remarks or swearing angrily at greifers also spam chat

Red, there's plenty of Ops, it's just the time zones, if we promote more, they'll be more, but just at peak times, not at times where there's none around, this is why vets have their commands, so when their isn't any ops, they can take over. Anyway I'm about to come online.

Holy fuck, how did we not know these ATROCITIES were happening right under our noses!?!?! :cry:

Frankly, I think this is the final nail in the coffin for MineCraft. If there are people in there making... (I'm sorry, but even repeating this is making me feel physically sick, and I don't even know what the specific remarks were)... dirty remarks, then we really should have no option but to close the entire server down forever.

How come a SINGLE Op can manage the server and 3 vets can? Come on, just try a little harder. All of us want more Ops, seriously, but if there aren't good enough Vets, we can't really get more... I'm really sorry for this though.

There is a promotion freeze going on right now so no more ops till whenever. And yes Pete, a single good op can handle a full PIE at times, pretty sad knowing 3 vets can't handle them all.

I've been on with only 2 MEMBERS and have had griefer problems and we don't even have ban. Yeah it's annoying sometimes but all you can do is try to build some smaller things occasionally and keep and eye on stuff around spawn. thats where griefers strike most. Or if you're working on something in another world i respond to complaints on chat and every now and then ill /j main and patrol near spawn for abut 10 mins.

This is why i disagree with auto promote. Ok maybe to member fine but vets have BAN. I know regular ban isn't huge but it's still big and a lot of new members have been griefers who got auto promoted by behaving until it came.

I believe ranks should be earnt not determined by an algorithm.

Also something else i think we should do is ignore people who ask how promotions work entirely. If someone asks for a promotion don't reply. at all. Because i have been following griefers who then ask in chat how they get promoted and then a big mouth tells them then they stop until they hit member and grief thinking that no one will know.or even better, they CUBOID grief.

Member auto promotions are ok but no one should be told that they're automatic otherwise we end up with members griefing and vets that can't moderate when no one is around then end up pestering for OP such as i believe this thread is. I'm member and i know ill get VET soon but i don't complain that it isn't happening sooner, i play the game for fun not to see if i can get a higher rank before everyone else.

I'll leave that for the 12 year olds that grind their hours for a promo.

SomthingAmazing, I know... I mean the 12 year olds that actually play and meet the requirements. My problem is with the people gaining member not the ones staying as guest.

The ones that get promoted then cause more problems that they fix. They don't learn the rules properly nor do they use commands properly. too many times have i seen cuboid grief or cuboid freak accidents and the person didn't know about /undo. Or better they do ANOTHER command that does NOTHING then lose the ability to /undo the fuckup.


I saw straight through this thread too. Like really. It'll come when you deserve it not when you ask for it several times.

Ok guys, I'll tell you a story about a 16 year old, he used to play on our server and laughed a lot, each time he saw a SupOp he yelled with joy, since it was time to ask, for new commands and toys. "Promote me to Op", this young Adv used to say, "for I've been here for ages, and I'm here to stay", shut up, and behave were the answers they gave, Petey wasn't promoted and decided to rape, until Lim-Dul saved the day, he promoted poor Petey, that same day, when he stopped asking, but yet, here he stayed. Now it has been a year, without getting promoted, and Petey doesn't ask for SupOp since he would get demoted.

Ok, TL;DR, don't ask for a promotion, they won't promote you even if they think you're good enough if you ask for it, just play, have fun, be helpful, rape someone and stay with us.

Asking for a promo draws a lot of attention to you. And not always bad attention.

I have noticed when i have administrated (a word?) forums and such when a user asks for a promo even if you say no you tend to watch them more as to see if maybe they do deserve it.

Thats just what i think. maybe i'm doing it wrong :ugly:

Well hm, maybe we shouldn't tell members at all how to be promoted, I always say they're automatic, just play on the server, and then someone carries on saying that it counts how many blocks you've placed, time, and messages. So then they try to stat farm, a guy yesterday was making random towers and deleting them over and over to boost his stats -_-

Don't even give them a hint!

If Lim has said only to say that it's auto then maybe guests that start discussing it should be warned then i think it should warrant a kick. So many times have i seen higher ranks (Vets+) discussing the parameters.

This problem is being worked on and the only thing that we need now is time, as we can't wave our magic wands to do some abra cadabra.

P.S. You can discuss all you want, won't change anything about the subjective aristocrats trying to be as democratic as they can. Don't get me wrong, we do things, change things, with the big community in the back of our heads. It's impossible to keep everyone happy, but all changes are made to keep the largest group of the community happy.

I did not bother to read all of it just because of pete's remark , pete what is good enough as nobody told us (the vets) what should we actually do to get op , if we administrate you say "it does not count to ranking to op" and if we build and ask for an opinion non-related to the story you are like "building does not get you op" wtf should we actually do?
And how can you say that an op takes chare of a sv and 3 vets dont as we do not have mute or patrol , on a full server we cant manage to do that much with them but lets not talk about witouth them. Most of the vets dont know how to use macros for example i want to be able to hide pressing crl+h and auto patrol with the mouse scrool but i cannot.

The mute command should be permited to vets in my opinion.

And after you also told us the vets are not good enough to be ops , lets be serious with the mass rank thing witch is unbelivable stupid you demoted fillerb (a trustee) to vet (not to op like cmanrocks a supop) and like 10 ops , etc. , firstly i know most of them why for example did you guys demoted SnowBalls , he should be a supop now not a veteran.
And after that you guys try to make us stop complaining and all of it , lets be serious to be a comunity we must respect each other , ever heard about fairplay?


The initial raging over the veteran change of commands wasn't enough ? "You're name is green that means you should not patrol..." ok , i understood this , we need to get op , a few days pass , massrank a hole bunch of people got demoted , nice no objections , when will everything go ok again? Nobody knows.... several problems exist.

And hit girl if you where "secretly patroling" ( better sayed spying on vets ) why did you not act like loged in for god knows how long i think a hower or so. (almoust).

Well that is what i had to say , and please check on the veterans that "deserve to be op's" i know i don't so i hope at least the ex-trustee's ,etc. could at least be op's.
