As some of you have noticed, many of the ranks of our op+ moderation team have been flopped around. I understand, of course, that this coming out of the blue may seem unfair, but honestly, its not. We will not be discussing exact reasons for each and every demotion immediately. If you believe that we've "wronged" you with a demotion, my opinion is that your best course of action will be to shut up about it and prove us wrong. Play normally. Be constructive. We are not adverse to re-promotions either. We're just not going to be reverting these rank changes because you ask nicely. Earn it back. If you want to turn this into a big drama, do so at your own discretion. |

One tidbit I want to point at. How can people get repromoted when most of them don't even know what they did wrong to "earn" this incredibly cold treatment? |

If people honestly can't fathom why they may have been demoted, then when the initial rage settles down, we'll discuss it. |

I just can't get my head around that ME and Filler got demoted so low and some people like Xesdra got to keep their rank. I was told that Filler and I were what made the server awesome because we were most qualified to be trustee and we kept the server in order when Owners and etc weren't around. |

Individual reasons won't be discussed - this is not a decision made by any one person, it was a combination of several factors, including input from the rest of the SpA community as to activity, behavior, age, forum posting style and such - sadly many of the people affected by demotions didn't fare well on one or more of these fronts even if they were long-time players and even achieved higher ranks in the past. All the reasons can by summed up with the fact that OP+ promotions will become rarer and more controlled and reserved to people being accepted by the whole SpA community - not just the Minecrafters on the servers. OP+ are solely administrative ranks, which we stressed many times - you don't need anything above veteran to have fun for any amount of time. If you can't live with not being promoted for extended periods of time you can leave now - consider that we don't award admin ranks on any of our other game servers based on ANY in-game stat. |

I think thats a nice answer Lim Dul. I am very much for closing the 2 ranging topics... before they get too personal. People jumping to wrong conclusions or interpeting things in real bad ways. I think that is a private discussion between Mincraft admins and the concerning members, not for the whole of the community. I have not closed it since I do not play the game, and it was reopened at request. I figured you all had seen it yourself by now and could close it by your own likings. x |

But this is why we discuss it, people are just making imagining their own reasons, and they aint pretty ones either. It'd show some good character, to just be honest about all this, here's what we did, here's why.

Locking. Please comply with this lock (supops) because people need to calm the tits down, and every post adds that extra needed reply etc. Also; this was an announcement, not a discussion. |

Just a word from me, we announced the minecraft reformation ages ago. We announced that we'd integrate it into SpA so it will fit to our style. We didn't realize in time what impact minecraft would have, and how large it would grow. Due to this some people will now feel the pain or our reformations. You're reactions also directly show the exact reasons for your demotions in general. To the rest, keep on going doing a great job! |
