Notch's most recent twitter status self proclaims himself as the "god of programming".

I dunno, maybe he can surprise us in the near future but I'm not buying it at the moment.

If Brewe doesn't get irony, then it makes him all the more tragic as a person. :(

what the fuck does he want, a stinking medal! :ugly:
I'd probably play MC and get addicted to it and get the bestest bestest rank possible if it wasn't so fucking ugly to look at. :(

I dunno, man. You could probably get a pretty good rank. That much I will agree with, but I doubt very much you'd get the bestest bestest rank possible.

Although... and this could all be Chinese whispers or simply hearsay... but, there is talk of a man, who attained the legend-ary rank of Trustee. His name was known far and wide across the land. He was respected and admired by his peers, and feared by anybody foolish enough to become his enemy. He was disgraced however, and was stripped of his powers. Some say he went crazy and tried to establish his own ranks in order to challenge the eternal overlords... some say he couldn't take his mortal binds and took his own life. If he is still around though, you should seek his council. With his training, I do believe you could attain the bestest bestest rank possible, and surely become a legend of MineCraft.

His name, I hear you ask?

FillerB.

Unfortunately not, the most advanced feature (custom made by a fan) is a sort of cheap ambient occlusion.

Thing is, this game is like the original Fallout series, it's valued for the gameplay and not for the graphics. I'm just saying you're missing out a lot discarding it purely out of aestethical prejudice.

btw. Woah, a Staropramen fan :D I can send you a nice glass with Staropramen logo :) (I've got a whole box of those, just cover the shipping costs :P).

Yeah but Fallout looked good in its day, not disagreeing with the argument just adding my 2 pence in to it.

Yeah, I know, that was a bad example -_- What I meant in general is that MC is notorious also because of it's aesthetics (freedom is obviously the main reason).

Not entirely. A lot of the reason I played it initially was because of the simple charm, mainly to do with the graphics. You either play or discard something by the initial impression, and Balls obviously discarded this long ago because of it.

But you are right..he is missing out on a wicked game.

Don't get me wrong Kattoo, i'm not a graphics whore, I do indeed love amazing graphics, and even spent a grand on new pc equipment when Crysis came out, but I am also all about gameplay! it's the most important thing in a game but I just can't look at MC to long without getting a bit sick, im sure its addictive and i love creative games, and lego throughout my childhood but I just don't like the visuals enough, even the text chat and GUI elements don't look great to me. Plus MC chose to style it this way, and not due to a graphical limitation of the time like the Fallout series. So, I just don't like the sytle. It's the same with people who think TF2 is too cartoony and prefer COD realism for example.

As much as i give the game shit, i do appreciate the scale of the guys work and why people like it. I just like to tease

McDonalds, and maybe Weatherspoons.

Moist, i doubt you remember Saturday from 9am onwards :S Kaos tried to feed you a burger and as a result created Gibboss's signature, which was the funniest thing ive ever heard, especially in context of us being sat in a booth surrounded by 14 year old lara crofts

Just throwing this out there. There ARE texture packs for minecraft (already stated). Which can help in the tiniest way possible. And depending on how good you are, you could make your own

Also, SpA members get the highest rank on request

Also, I really love those onion "flowers" or whatever they are properly called. With that delicious sauce in the middle!

The only thing I remember from McDonalds is falling down those stairs, and nearly putting my head through a glass pane.

Oh, and I remember that guy outside stealing my wig.

I was so drunk. :|
