Is it really borked? I keep timing out. However, I am on a University wireless network, and thought that might be the issue. |

There's been an update, so I'll wait until all my plugins are updated before I start playing again. especially as I can't stand the standard lighting engine any-more. |

For those who don't know, hMod which is the place where all the awesome things came from, is being replaced by a collaboration of people to be known as bukkit (or muffin for short). The integration between the two has not yet been completed. The guys from the bukkit main page wrote: Q: When will Bukkit be ready?
However, they also stated that a fully working version won't be ready for a while, but we will just have to see how playable and pluginable the initial releases are.A: We're pushing very hard for a preview releases within the next few days. This type of release will only give you a SMALL taste of what Bukkit has to offer but will be a working build everyone can play with. Therefore, ladies and gentlemen, don't ask us when the good old SMP will be back up, because we don't know. We also don't know if all our plugins are coming back, or much else about the topic. |

We know many things. Just nothing specific about Muffin. |

Actually, muffin is already usable and better than vanilla notch servers. We're waiting until our core plugins get ported and for an official release, aka, when it has at least the functionality of hmod. |

I have a question about this though- Blue dyes, which are found in the wild from the lapis whatever rocks, won't have been generated on the old map. perhaps it would be wise to use an editor, or something to put them in, so we can mine them??? |

I have a solution; assuming we have cmod to reset zones. We go all Runescape on the worlds ass and build a few dozen Lapwhateverthefuck ores in a mine and reset the zone every now and again. It would be in a far away portion of the land, keeping the Lapwhatadumbassname as a rarity. Just an idea. |

Basically, unless you have proof of the money in which you had, its unlikely you'll get it back.

I think I'm just going to do massive redstone -> lapis lazuli conversions in certain regions. Much easier on me. ![]() In theory, new trees should have a chance of going birch, so I'll let you guys handle that. Trees in winter biomes should automatically go pine too. I don't think we'll have a problem. I'll start a bonemeal squad to reforest portions of the new world. |

Lapis Lazuli kits -> problem solved. It's the same as with our "Old World"/"New World" problem. The "Old World" didn't have biomes, screwed clay spawn rates and whatnot... P.S. We will also have to add a bone kit since we will obviously disable skeleton archers when hMod is updated. OR perhaps finally configure the MobDrops plugin and alter the drops of other things - add bones to zombies or creepers. =) |

Actually iConomy has been ported to Bukkit already (in its new but close to feature-less incarnation) BUT since we're on a temporary map, the plugin would require reconfiguring and by comparison yields little gameplay benefits (other than social ones) compared to the amount of effort required to set it up properly, we might not see currency for a while. =) |

Post subject: | Re: Minecraft is borked. |
Make your own like you said you were thinking about, Haf. We don't need no iConomy when we have our amazing programmer here. |

I do not intend to write a shop plugin. I already have my work cut out for me. ![]() |

Post subject: | Re: Minecraft is borked. |
Eh, we could probably live without the shop, all things said and done. That said, it is a nice thing to have, and I wouldn't mind having it, but on the other hand, it does detract a little from Survival Multiplayer, turning it more into Run-To-The-Grocery-Store Multiplayer. |
