But please fix the rates to
Min:
cl_updaterate 50 >>>> 90
cl_cmdrate 50 >>>> 90
rate 10000 >>>>> 15000

Max:
cl_updaterate 90 >>>> 101
cl_cmdrate 90 >>>> 101
rate 15000 >>>> 250000

It's better and more Hitfull..

All players are Screaming and whining thath the rates sux..

tbh .. dnno if that is with purpose , but i think it sucks when it also fix the rates from players that have rates over 15000 50 50 , thats just bollox that it fix it then , i normally have 25000 100 100 , and i cant play with those rates , theire just to low and i can't play on other servers then cause its just another feeling to play

i played with those rates but i'm still at my mind : i can't play well with those rates , i was always playing with 25000 100 100 , its just not the same

btw , does it work when i change the settings again? means i connect , and make rate 25000 and stuff?

All servers now have an 'Flexible rate enforcer' installed on them now. It checks for every player if their rates fall within the borders of the pre-set range. If not it will automaticly adjust the rates to our settings. Settings: Min: cl_updaterate 50 cl_cmdrate 50 rate 10000 Max: cl_updaterate 90 cl_cmdrate 90 rate 15000 Any one claiming they needs rates higher then these value's is nuts. Let me remind you, the world is not one big fiber network, all the way to your home.

ahh thats a great new thingie , especially for guys who play the first time or for rate noobs (geylani) cause they're lagging around and its hard to hit em there are also some guys who do it with purpose , like in wars n things , in css on a cvarblock server u could check all rates of all players on the server , cvar_check_all if i remember right , very usefull to get rid of those rate fakers

This because (as you can notice) nearly 80+% of the players uses dodgy rates (alot of rate 25000, cl_updaterate 20, cl_cmdrate 20), now everyone is forced to have good rates, thus making everyone move more smooth, reg better etc, so the overall performances are just much better, including others regging better when shooting on you. Besides that, the rates you use arnt even apropiet to use on a LAN enviorment. Origional HL rates, on the fastest settings (LAN) are set on rate 9999, cl_updaterate 50, cl_cmdrate50.

Yeah, tbh, there's about 3 CS server worldwide that actually CAN run at 25,000 - Almost every server doesn't see anything after 15,000 There's some very good articles on the net about CS rates.... Have a read of them if you think you should be running anything over 15,000
