Canada or especially the US are not really better. In USA's case it's even worse *cough* Patriot Act *cough*.
And I did tell you about i.e. the anti-piracy law that was passed in Canada recently, didn't I? ^^
Oh, and what about France where all kinds of encryption are FORBIDDEN to be used by normal citizens so the authorities can i.e. read your mails whenever they want? ;-)

Hm things Internet censoring is a slippery slope, they can only try to gain more control of the web, who knows what it will be like in ten years time
