| Post subject: | Problem with CS 1.6 |
Right, so i've now installed my new Graphics Card, which I may say is fucking amazing!  .But, I am pretty much unable to play CS 1.6 now. When running around 'pwning', it kind of like, well... the game will freeze, or atleast my game will freeze for a milisecond then carry on. Like, if i turn it'll stop, then carry on. It's ever since I installed the new graphics card. Any idea's people? |

Rite....But... you can just copy and replace after instal ur cstrike folder at cs 1.6, thats the most important folder at 1.6 Dunno what you can do at other games. |

Well Raver .. You have a problem  - You see, yeah, you DO have to uninstall Steam and remove ALL files .. You can prolly get windows to do the job by using your add/remove program-list .. That usually removes all plugins and so on, so IF you do this, be aware that you also need to reinstall all maps, all sounds, skins, models etc etc.. And also, you have to start over with Half Life 2 and what ever games you have going on @ Steam .. - I've been there a couple of times myself due to different reasons, and that's the mainreason for why I haven't succesfully completed HL2 yet .. I simply can't arse myself enough to start over again, for like, 3rd. time ! And also, once all this is done, and you wanna reinstall Steam, you ALSO have to update all your games @ Steam before they're ready to launch .. So, you're prolly looking at somewhat like LOADS of hours .. Gl ^^ |

Well, the new graphics card will be sent back to be replaced with the PCI-E version. So, in the mean time untill PC is upgraded, this PC will have the GeForce 5200 back in, yay? lol. If that fails to solve the problem, then it's uninstalling steam I go.  .
