We're working on setting up a TF2 fun server which will switch at given times between several TF2 fun modes. The how and when on switching between modes is something we'll work out after we've tested all of the modes we can find which would look like being fun. A game mode inspired in the classic Dodgeball. On this mode, all classes except the Pyro are disabled and the respawn is limited to the same rules as the Arena game mode. Each Dodgeball map has a set of spawn points from where rocket projectiles are fired. These projectiles are designed to follow a target player until the player is killed or the rocket has been deflected. Based on Voogru's original plugin and similar to Asherkin's plugin, I tried to design this one as flexible as possible without having to mess with the plugin's code. All the parameters of the rocket classes are fully configurable: model, sounds, speed, damage, turn rate, etc. Each rocket uses a small events system wich can be used to extend the functionality of the rockets by the execution of custom commands, so if you can write Sourcemod plugins, you can easily extend the functionality of the rockets. You can independently setup the spawn points by defining their full target name, in case you want an specific spawn point to have a different spawn chances table. The configuration included with the plugin contains a base rocket setup and a sample nuke rocket type (along with the model and it's 3DS Max source). |

Oooh, awesome, I've played this one before. With the right people, it's loads and loads of fun. The "Ride my rocket" jokes get old quick, but eeeeeeh. |

Its fun, but the server can only play 1 map before needing a restart. And only 2 of the 5 maps are good to play on. It also needs more rawkets! |

There are two or three different dodgeball plugins. The best one is the original, which is private. I think you can contact its author and he'll probably give it to you (us) if we meet the requirements, i.e. being a serious community. |

Suggestions for 'fun modes': Prophunt, surf, and zombie fortress I don't know anything about running them, (well, surf is just a map, you've prolly seen it) but they are all the other modes that I have seen and played on at some point in time that I found somewhat enjoyable. |

this more or less sums it up. the mod is absolutely fantastic though, most fun i've had on a spa server for ages And only 2 of the 5 maps are good to play on. It also needs more rawkets! ![]() |

Yeah I had great fun on this mod, even when there was only 6 of us online. But as everyone above me has said. Dekar wrote: can only play 1 map before needing a restart.

At the very beginning of this mod we tried to make a deal with the origional author to lease his plugin for 10 euros per month per server, something he refused.On the rest of the feedback: I'll do some reconfigging asap. |

Perhaps he would be more open now? Initially it was just one server but now I know for a fact that there are quite a few servers running his plugin and I believe it has more maps than the clones too. |

I've made a few quick adjustments to the config (I'll have a proper look at it soon) - Fixed mapcycle - Increased max amount of rockets in the air per team from 1 to 2 - Decreased minimum amount of time between rockets launched from 2.0 seconds to 1.5 seconds |

some other stuff: - still crashes on mapchange ![]() - it might have been done last night, but sv_alltalk_1 needs to be added to the config - it would be cool if the amount of rockets going could be change per map, but it's not really a big thing and ZE MAPS RANKING 1. spacecube; holyfuckingshit best map ever 2. castle; probably as brilliant as spacebox, actually 3. glasscube; pretty good, though hiding in the corners/edges is a bit lame. and far too big. could use Moar Rocketz® 4. tennis; alot of people like it, i'm not such a fan. could be great with Moar Rocketz® 5. triangle; utterly broken and unplayable, but hilarious all the same ![]() everything else, as far as i can remember, is wank. apart from one of the cube one which we haven't tried yet. |

Yeah there are too many maps in the rotation. The non arena maps can come out imho ![]() I didn't mind the triangle myself, especially the pretty little frog ![]() |
