Hello, I'm OneYankeeRebel, in the USA way up near the Canadian border, in North Dakota. Brrrrrr. LOL Some of you have seen me lurking about. I procrastinated doing the application. I am kinda new to minecraft, maybe about the first week of February my son got me playing on his friends server. "Son? You have a son?" Well, yes I do, three of them, except one died; and a daughter. I am older than dirt. I have children older than most of you here in SpA. It is possible my one grandson is as old as some of the younger ones. I hope to get my son here when he isn't too busy with college and work. Anyway... the server owner moved his server to a free trial hosting site and then went AWOL so the server abruptly came to an end. While learning about minecraft, servers etc I discovered a mention of SpA, and it's been home ever since. My first computing experience was on a teletype called a Silent Knight 100, it was hooked to a Vax computer with an acoustical 75baud modem, storage was either 1/2" paper tape or IBM punchcards. My first home computer was a Commador64 with a 300baud modem. I still have one around here somewhere... It is amazing what we could do with 64K ram that we can not seem to do with 4GB of ram today. I had been an op on IRC for many years, owner/mod a couple yahoo groups, reseller of web hosting space. While I mine and build stuff I like to listen to ROCK mostly, http://www.grooveshark.com works well for this. You might see me on at anytime day or night, I am disabled, don't work, and have strange sleeping patterns. Well I'm going to get back to banging blocks and chasing monsters.
