im quite excited about it, ok its not gonna be oscar worthy or anything, but im sure it will be a good popcorn movie, plus having Rodriquez attached will hopefully insure some sort of quality bar, and its got Danny Trejo in it, awesome!!!!!! :5: lol not sure how having a sniper in that situation can be helpful. ^^

brodie no doubt will be shite, cant see him as an action star at all as he was shit in king kong. :|

its just a shame stan winston wont be involved in the project - at least i dont think he is.

http://www.predators-movie.com/ - pretty cool renders of the pred hound in the stills section.

I think the only Robert Rodriguez movie that Danny Trejo hasn't been in, is Sin City.

I do love a bit of the Trejo though. So much so, that for a while, me and my mate coined the phrase;

'You've just been Trejo'd!'

And because of this film, and stuff like machette, trejos gonna be in sin city 2, if Robert ever gets round to making it. :D

Wow. They're actually making Machete into a film?

That was the best Robert Rodriguez effort on the whole of Grindhouse. Was not impressed by Planet Terror at all. :56

Death Proof was alright, although the majority of that comes from the chase sequence at the end.

Have to say, the cast list for Machete is really impressive. Not bad for a film with Danny Trejo as the lead.

yeah id quite like to check out the other spoof grindhouse style trailers which were originally splitting up the two joined films.

awww i enjoyed planet terror, it was a bit of a laugh and just had some badass stuff in it. It was equally awesome to see kurt russell back on the screen; all his scenes were quality - and his brutal car murders; its just that tarantino doesnt write decent female dialogue very well - with some exceptions - but in death proof all those scenes with the girls chatting the usual tarantino bs; it was really bad and some really annoying characters.

machete would be a bad ass film :D

The other trailers weren't fantastic to be honest. Machete was by far the best. Even the one from Edgar Wright was a bit weird and crappy. I'm not sure he quite got what Grindhouse was supposed to be about, although he is British so he can't really be blamed for that.

The trailer from the Bear Jew himself, Eli Roth, was just bizarre and twisted. So pretty much like Eli Roth himself.

And Rob Zombie... Meh, fuck Rob Zombie.

Here they are anyway, just in case you've never seen em' before. Eli Roth's is Thanksgiving and Edgar Wright's is Don't.
EDIT: Actually, on second viewing, these are pretty damn funny.

Except Rob Zombie's which is still shit.

Gimme some topless Nazi broads anyday of the week though. :16

cheers for posting that moist, i havent seen those before :) shame they had to split up the grindhouse features and not release it as a full project as intended.

the rob zombie one was pretty crap and it didnt seem like they made much of an effort to make it look dated. but i have to agree about hot naked female nazis; and sheri moon is pretty hot.

i agree i dont think edgar wright really did get the concept, his seemed more of a spoof of grindhouse b movies rather than making a fake trailer. had some cool gore shit in it though and it was well edited, plus its fun to see nick frost in massive pants.

eli roths was really good and gory - probably second best after machete, but was kind of ruined by the voice over imo - sounded pitched down unnaturally rather than a real deep movie announcer voice. it was wicked to seen Michael Biehn in it :)

I need to see this one. I liked the first Predator, second one wasn't the same.
Now when they're back in the jungle I gotta see this :)
