Austria's pretty good at skiing (it has been better in the past but still). Thing is, no one gives a fuck about skiing

Problem with international football is most of these players play for different teams and therefore dont train together except for maybe 2 months every 2 years, and it means that the quality is worse than normal club level football...

The reason spain won euro 08 and are still holding strong here are only because its basically Barcelona FC, most of them train together weekly and play together weekly...
You got a pretty good point there and actually I think that's also one of the reasons why Germany is so strong - ALL of their players play in the German league, so they either do play and train a lot together or at least play each other regularly.

I'm bloody awful at predicting scores. So from now on, I will say the opposite of what I think will happen.

Spain Vs. Holland in the final. :87

I watched that game.

If you're going to turtle in a high level environment, you better be good at it. Paraguay made one mistake without ever attacking well so they didn't deserve to win.

And tbh, Spain = David Villa at the moment.

Well - I expected a far greater advantage from the Dutch... Truth be told Boulahrouz was utter shit in the match too.

You don't need no explanations. On the internet, the winning player/team is emo, gay and cheating by default 8)

I'm pretty certain that the guy that was offside didnt't touch the ball, wasn't it a deflection (or double deflection) off of the Uruguian defence?

Being actively offside doesn't always mean touching the ball - it can also mean blocking the view of the goalkeeper. But I don't think it was either thing. Legitimate goal in my opinion.

Watch it again if you dont think he was offside - he was offside the last defender by his right leg, he attempted to flick/tick the ball, as well as blocking the goal keepers view. Both of these are actively influencing play or being involved in play, hence its offside.

If its a shot at the goal, it can't be offside can it?

Yes it can, if the player being offside is blocking the keepers vision of the ball.
Which was the case here, I believe.
