Seriously, I think the idea of a CS contest in this Community would rox! Doesn't matter if it's the tournament of this thread or not, but I think that we as a community could use this :)

- So, is it something you all like ? Is it possible for ya? Coz then i'd like to organize it along with another member who wants to hand me some help and be a part of it as well ..

Problem with a tournament, not being a kill joy is that, well,

The winners are obvious; Im not saying that people are bad, just that some pople are obviouslly gonna win

E.G. Hunter, Ruscher, Insanity

And well... W e wanna make soming fair I think otherwise people who arent good at suming like Cs. (me :P) or Photoshop (me :P)

But yeh...

yeees i'm playing well to much cs:s and wc3 (DotA) atm so my skill in cs is lower then usuall (still enough to pwn the most of you :D)

i like the tournamt idea

what about sth funny , like a surf or a climb contest?

surf - We chose a (relative) hard surf map and who comes to the end or most near to it in .. like 5-10 mins won.

climb - exactly the same , a hard long climb map and who is fastes at the end wons.

i've never surfed on 1.6 and i don't even know what a climb map is >.>

how about a battle royale? Deathmatch? than even if you go around spraying, you still get SOME kills.

Yes i've got a little screenshot for you (its hlf2 , normaly 1.6 is meand but i didnt found a decent screenshot yet :roll: , i'll get one myself llater)

You're right , i think surf map might be a bit hard for some of you , because it isnt that easy at the first time.

Well im also not playing those maps , i did once and it isnt hard to learn

All you need is some cs movement skill , jumping and running is actually the only thing that u need and its not that hard , is it? ;)

I don't know what you guys decided, but I think CS tournaments aren't the way to do it...

How about creative stuff, that can also benefit SPA ?

BANNER for SPA members to use.
CS spray.
SPA news article (something about how we started, and where we are today, where we're going etc).

Rather than a CS tournament, why not stuff more community based?

THIS is a competition. The idea is to think up a good competition were everyone can enter in, and have a fair chance.

The winners of both competitions will win prices, so nothing is decided yet ;)

How about some kind of puzzle, that you make. Example. Saint gives you a clue, then an adres thats password protected. Then, in there, there's another clue, and another adress, etc.etc. Much like n0tpron ;)

Then at the last page there is a codeword, that u pm to saint, and the first who does it wins ;D?

That actually sounds pretty fun, like a virtual (net based) treasure hunt.....

There's been a couple of games did a simliar idea, but I'm sure we could manage something like that without TOO much hassle...
