Hello guys. I'm very new here, and I'm sorry I'm making my first post about such a bitter problem, but the issue I'm faced with is that I joined the SMP server last night, and despite all of the connection issues and disconnects, i was able to log in 8 hours or so. I felt proud because I was able to really establish myself with a peice of land by working in Fordoars mine, and after creating a mine of my own after he left, I replace my dirt house with an inset refined stone one and was able to come up with a daimond pick, axe, and shovel, 17 gold bars, 40 iron bars, and 5 bought daimonds, and a very long 2 lane mine.

im now back to a 2 lane mine. and a dirt house. :/

If someone could please help me out here, I understand Lim can cuboid.

Rollbacks are there to solve major problems. This was the major problem of lava having the ability to burn things turned back on and wood and cloth all over the server lighting up. It was unfortunate but the only thing we could do was kick the server back. Unfortunately in turn, that means that many people have lost work. Many are angry, many are displeased, I'm sure you are, but that is life playing on alpha software.

That was kind of a message for other people as well who were asking about getting things reinstated. Lim might be able to give your items back with a spawning tool which won't have a significant server impact, but cuboids on SMP don't work the same, and take up a HUGE amount of memory apparently due to zoning based issues. I got Lim to cuboid something for me once, not knowing the damage it made until he finished it. So unless he is feeling compassionate (but considering our growing costs to SpecialAttack I think we need to cut back on everything we can) you might have to get back in there and mine some more. And anyway, isn't mining and crafting what the game is all about?

well, you are right, Ollie. I decided to jump in and ruff it out and id say im about a third of the way there now, so i think maybe 3 more hours and I should be back in place. Now if only i can find Duck :O

Don't feel bad, nothing like my story. I swam and swam till I found an island not occupied. I was also carrying a half used diamond shovel lots of logs and other valuable blocks used for decoration. After I cleared flat land and built a log house, of course there is a rollback due to bad lag. After we can go back off my log house was gone and the tools were gone too. So really I didn't get my inventory back and the island bak to the way it was...
