I'm hunting whitetail deer in the upper peninsula of Michigan. So far no luck. Couple more days to try :lol:

You see this is the type of post I'd love to be able make.

I mean real life hunting, just like The Deer Hunter.

Reality however means the the closest I could get would - gone to Tescos.

My stepdad is a hunter. He goes hunting regularly.
I love going with him in winter in a larger hunting party plowing through the snow, the hunting dogs obeying every command, the sudden rush if you see something fly up or run off, the overall joy when they finally get the kill after chasing the game for ages, the Jägermeisters in the cabin after the hunt :mrgreen: .
Too bad I never had the commitment to go for a hunting permit myself. Maybe after I finish my studies.
Also, the constant supply of game in the freezer is an amazing perk :D

I am just getting home and sorry to say my trip was unfruitful. Almost a week of sitting in a tree stand and i only saw 3 deer that were not big enough to shoot. :( oh well there is always another time. Time to play some minecraft
