Some of you need to bare in mind that when these rules roll out, you'll still have to use common sense. Rules weren't definitive because they were handling grey areas. So when these rules come out, refer to them of course, but also use good judgement while enforcing them.

Well, they do. The thing is, "common sense" can be different for different people, and that's why Ops need to be handpicked. If a guest has a different "common sense", explain to him what he's doing wrong (warn). Then prove to him you have the control, and that he MUST use your same "common sense", (kick). Finally, if said guest just won't change his "common sense" feeling, we should just avoid him getting on our server, (ban). He can go find a server where trolls and griefers are allowed.

Im assuming these "rules" Haf is talking about will have exceptions, meaning some COMMON SENSE will be needed. If they are actual rules to follow like nazis to hitler, thennnnnnnnnnnn we have a problem

The issue is that we were moderating contrary to the ideals of SpecialAttack, and numerous drama threads have illustrated that when things are left up to moderator discretion, conflict ensues. We need a balance.
