I've had a look at last years bandwidth usage, and as most people here know, I like stats other then ingame related stats.

So, what did you lot use last year on pure gaming bandwidth?

30.000 GigaByte!

13.000GB of this was used up by the Minecraft servers and some 17.000GB was used by all other gameservers (TF2, L4D(2) etc).

Some more stats;

We had 280.000 unique visitors on our forums and frontpage, generating some 2.000.000 page views.

Yeah, if you don't consider that Minecraft joined in the middle of the year and is only one game, whereas "all other gameservers" are more games and still just got barely over 50% bandwidth.

It's indeed an interesting graph;

Makes you wonder what covert ops the minecrafters are running as those pixels shouldn't generate much traffic, right? :mrgreen:

More graphs:

Mumble usage slowly growing throughout the year, with a peak of 45 users at the same time near the end of the year;

Indeed Minecraft SHOULDN'T take up so much bandwidth but tell that to Notch. ;-)
People are bending over backwards to save bandwidth but are bound by his retarded protocol specifications...

I blame Minecraft for the large mumble-ness too. A few nights ago there were roughly 15, maybe even almost 20 as my overlay was huge, on the Minecraft channel for quite a while using all your bandwidths and stuff.

Mumble uses close to no bandwidth... It also doesn't run off the same machine. :-P

Surprisingly enough, I did as well, maybe because I was subconsciously reading yours instead.
