 Post subject: [SMP] Railway System

Hello,
I am Fumino, currently in charge of constructing the railway system. I come here seeking suggestions/help for various parts of the construction.

Here is the current layout of it.
-Tracks go from the North border, to the South border. Another one goes from the East border to the West border. From that we have a + shape. From the ends of the tracks at each border, I went diagonally all the way around connecting to each end.

The main stations are planned to be made at the North, East, South, and West parts where the tracks connect.

Main stations progress:
North Station- 90% Complete / Many people involved in its construction
East Station- 50% Complete / Just myself so far
West Station- 25% Complete / JuncoPartner
South Station- 0% Complete /

Here are the things that I need help/suggestions for.
1. Name of this new railway system.
2. Help with construction of all the main stations. If you choose to help, you will be asked to empty out your inventory before going to work. The reason for this is that you will be working with spawned items, items that can never go outside of the rails. When you finish your work, your inventory will be wiped, and you will be paid in diamonds, unless a currency plugin is installed, then you will be paid through that.
3. Mini stations. I would like to get at least 3 to 4 smaller stations built along each length of track.
4. Railway Mob/Player protection. Fencing was made along both sides of the tracks to help prevent players and mobs from getting on the tracks. During the short time minecart mania was working, I took a ride along all the tracks and the thing that stopped my ride the most was other players. I would like to figure out some way to keep all mobs and players off the railway system at all times. So I am asking for help in constructing many walkway bridges and tunnels, so they won't have the urge to break the fencing to get across. Would also like to hear any other suggestions that could help keep the railway clear.
5. Future redesign suggestions. The current design I did was simple in an effort to get it down quickly before builds started popping up everywhere so I wouldn't go through anyones work. I would like to redo it all one day, once it is a working system, with a much nicer design.

Lastly, any other ideas, thoughts, suggestions that could be done with the railway system.

2. I would love to help you build, but as it happens, I am unable to do anything with complete blueprints. By the way, I noticed a railway near my castle when I was digging :D accidentally broke a part, but fixed it immediately. You can't zone diagonally, I presume?

3. Same as above.

4. I partially answered in "2". Not a solution, but anyway. I don't know what could be done. Hafnium will surely work something out :)

Uhm in some areas, mobs are able to get onto the track.
2 Reasons: Some people build little bridges over the track, so the monsters can jump down onto the track.
In some areas where the fence is located, the ground is higher than the fence, so the monsters can jump down on the track. I think a space should be cleared beside the fence so that dosent happen.

There's a bridge over the rail by my house, but I'll be mob proofing it, as for the station I need a warp there fum, havent been able to make any progress on it. Going to use a new larger design.

Fumino, it cuts straight through my house and I can't walk through the stone to get alongside it. Where it's underground, there are no paths by it.

Perhaps "Haven Transport Co."

You know, something not overly complicated and like a corporation sort of thing that manages it.

Would like to ask for anyone to take over this railway project.

I have been working on this since the first day of the new map and it has done nothing but make the game more and more less fun for me. Constant drama, complaints, putting me in a bad light that I simply do not wish to be in anymore.

The layout of the track I announced only minutes after the new map was made available for everyone to play on. I talked about it everyday where it was going. Sorry hafnium, but I should have never accepted the job.

Please someone take over this project. All I want to do is start playing for real. Build a nice house, do lots of mining, exploring, and helping others.

Damn, Fumino, why didn't you say anything before? I feel sorry for you; I know how it is like when all the fun is sucked away by forced building, especially when/if few "really"appreciate the work. And I don't think anyone has objections against you leaving the project, even though it is in it's current glory thanks to you, and we would like you to continue on it. There are many eager (but are they trustful?) little builders, who would be glad to take over.

Go build yourself a nice house and start living the life of a normal player. If a high ranking officer objects, I'm sure you can at least take breaks from track building, and go build a house, explore, mine...

Use the creepers as slave labour!

Oh, and use griefers and such as well, and just all-round enjoy the game that was built for enjoyment.

Sure, were gonna need a few peopple though!!!! Its gonna be abig job. I also forgot it might be a bit hard for me unless i have a Trustee involved to get the items and to maybe cuboid away some of the chunks. in tunnels
