I think the tfc version of well stinks. Its boring. Feels like playing battlefield2 with no cars. Your busy 80% of your time walking to the other side.

What do you people think?

I played a long round on it yesterday but I still haven't made up my mind whether it's good or not. It was kind of a stale game, where the other team built a lot of sentries in their spawn area and my team could not get past them. My team couldn't take out the sentries either, because the engis where pretty good (moPP and nick) and since our engis built sentries right outside of the spawn area nobody in either team was able to cap the intel.
On the one hand, it kinda sucked, but on the other hand it was good, because all the action was condensed into a really small area and since we had teleporters, we didn't have the long walking distances.

Currently I'm leaning more towards removing it, but I think you should keep it at least another week so we can test it more thoroughly.

I haven't tried it yet, but come on, we've kept 2fort in the mapcycle, and nobody likes that...

I may be a simple man of God (Please note: This may not reflect the truth) but I personally find the CTF maps in TF2 rather boring. And well is too big. So I say give it the chop.

I've played it several times now and I have to say that, though the matches can be fun, they tend to be less interesting than on cp_well. That said, I'd much rather remove ctf_2fort form the mapcycle than ctf_well, since 2fort sucks much more!

i'm reviving this old post because i feel that our mapcycle is too short.
there a so few maps, so i once again vote to include ctf_well in the mapcycle.
my old argument still stands: it's better than ctf_2fort!

the spa server would already be in the custom tab if it weren't for a plugin i wrote, because we have an increased player count and decreased spawn times.
so we could enable birthday mode if you want to :)

or i could integrate it in the spa points system, so you could start a party for a few points ;)

Personally I don't find 2fort bad. I prefer it over CTF_Well anyways.

The only gripe I have with 2 fort as well as CTF_well is that it usually becomes a rather stale game. But in my opinion this is mostly because of the amount of engineers and the lack of proper coördination. I always have loads of fun on 2fort, but I don't even bother with the flag because its proper suicide

I quite like it. I think the problem is that no one really likes new maps at the start coz they're not used to them. I heard Badlands really slagged off the first few days I played it, I didn't really like it at first, got to say I love it now.
All we are Saaayyyiiing is give maps a chance.
