I just noticed quite a few people on my friendlist have this game on their wanted list...

Its coming out in 2 days or so, and I'm wondering how many people are actually going to get it.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011- ... ink-review

its 8/10 from Eurogamer and they seem to think its pretty awesome online. So now I'm wondering wether I should purchase or not!

Probably will be getting it after my hand in dates have gone by which is the 28th. So I'll probably get to hear all about it before then!

But it does look interesting i'll give it that.

Yeah i've been watching this game for a while looks pretty cool, nice character models, pretty much the same as TF2 but with more focus on more stimulating objectives rather than just standing on a CP.

Def gonna give it a whirl.

Since BlackOps I learn to wait a bit :). I was following this game lately and look interesting, but I'm waiting for some real people opinions on it.

6.0 from ign and 7.9 from gametrailers so far.

agree with bam though, got sucked into blackops only to be disappointed (though I didn't think it was gonna be great anyway).

brink does have some cool features and mechanics. The customisation aspect is great! The main complains at the moment seem to be the maps; and anything offline isnt worth the time.

a pre-order of brink was my prize from the gameground competition. i'm not expecting it to be the new tf2 or anything, but i reckon it will be entertaining enough. pre-loading right now! :4

It looks great and all, but since youre actually using automatic guns it will be very far away from TF2 in terms of gameplay ;) And the reviews are kinda meh.

Someone keep an eye out for announcements for this game. Linux server files should be getting released. As soon as they do we can provide you with a server.

Yeah, it is nothing at all like TF2 at all. The gun-play is very, very unsatisfying and the controls are highly fudgey.

Thing it reminds me of most? Shadowrun... :|

Yup. Exactly.

I'll admit I'm not very far in but so far it is extremely unlikeable. The guns are terrible, the animation is a mess and the missions are just wars of attrition. You spawn, sprint 100M to the battle, get shot, wait to respawn, repeat. It's very, very dull so far...

Well that's typical for fps games, thats why tf2 is so unique ;) You wont get shot by sprinting dude full auto spamming his rifle across the map ;)

Heh, true. This game is very close combat though and...well.. I dunno. I really need to wait until you've all played it. There is just something about the guns. they just fell and behave very, very strangely. :?

EDIT: Forgot to mention: the performance is a bit crappy too. No matter what I do with the detail setting, I am averaging about 15-17 FPS in firefights and maxing out at about 32. Not good. Not good at all...

shadowrun was fun.. I really enjoyed playing it and deffo did not find that clunky. The game was overpriced for what it offered but it was good fun.

Your opinion. I thought it was good and enjoyed it, so did my friends who initially didn't want to buy it due to bad reviews (who mostly said OMG NO CLIMBING ANIMATION AND TOO LITTLE MAPS FOR $$$$), but after playing it bought it.

But yeah I have played better games.

The problem with Shadowrun wasn't the awful graphics, piss-poor design, tiny maps, lack of maps or lack of balance. The problem was that it was designed to be played by 360 and PC players on the same servers so the PC mouse input was deliberately tampered with - slowed down - to give the console-kiddies a chance.

Hilarious.
