Apparently looters also ransacked a pet shop and a load of dogs escaped. Police are looking for leads.

Is the violence and riots mostly happening on the north och and the south part of London?

My sister actually lives on the east London, and I'm kind of worried how it looks over there. She wrote to me that it's nothing to worry about, but her partner wrote on facebook that Londons going crazy :?

I hope it all calms down soon, poor people who had their homes and shops burned down.

It is a real shame to see how things got this way, and the fact the protest was overtaken by thugs/gangs just exploiting the situationw and stealing and causing mass damage to their own areas. Especially now with the whole world watching us and judging us and our country. But we have a government full of corruption, MP's stealing money from the public via unjust expenses, police chiefs caught up in scandal - public servants never had it sooo good! So people are really angry about the government screwing them over, and the thugs/gangs that are just making the people look bad and screwing themselves over in their local community.

London is a huge place, I wouldn't worry too much.

I have to go there soon to look for a house, but I think I may wait for a while :P
