Kinda hopeless, but improving (121)
Half ammo for soldiers and demomen? Christ.
And the disable crits command will keep many people happy, but I can live with crits tbh, always good to get one when trying to melee someone..

After fiddling around with it on your servers, I've found that I rather would have had a small damage reduction for both classes. With all the weapons flying about, its not that hard to keep your ammo full. The only time you would really run out of it is if you are really good at surviving, but horrible at killing.

Too bad they haven't nerfed sticky bomb damage. 2 stickies to kill just about any class, or 1 crit sticky is just insane. Its not that hard to hit people with it! I'm seeing more and more demomans using the sticky bombs as a main weapon, and I'm not liking it.

So Saint.K, now that crits can be disabled do you plan on disabling them on any of the servers. I know it sounds unsporting to get pissed off at them but when a glowing rocket comes out of nowhere and pops you like a balloon, it's a tad frustrating. Especially as there is no criteria for achieving a Critical Hit, it's purely random. Does my box in it does. Obviously if you don't want to disable them it's not going to crush my world but... actually it will crush my world. And I've grown fond of it in it's uncompressed form

I have no intention to disable criticals. Sure sometimes you get killed by a lucky critt, but then again, sometimes you also kill lucky :)

I think the critt hits are a pretty cool dimention to the game!

Fair enough. I'll just have to combat the crits by not being shit anymore

Crits aren't completely random. If you do well the crit chance can rise up to 20%

Is there anyway to see your crit chance anywhere?

Don't worry Magisk, you got a 100% crit chance against me :p
I've read somewhere that how well you perform, does indeed do something with your crit chance... wheter playing well ups the chance or downs it, is a different matter.

The dev commentary on Gravelpit map says that the less health you have or the better your progress is (like bunch of kills in a row) the higher your crit chance. This way the game "supports" good players.

No you can't see that.
Crash is right. In an interview a developer said that the crit chance can be up to 20% depending on the damage you've done the last seconds. The standard is 5%.
Quote:
If you haven't hurt anyone yet, you have a basic 5% chance of a critical hit each time you fire. If you've done some damage in the last 20 seconds, it's higher than that. If you've done 800 damage or more in that time - killed two full health Heavies and a Soldier, say - you've got a 20% chance of a crit. Between 0 and 800, the chance increases steadily between 5 and 20%.
link

I remember sometimes I get 3 crit rockets in a row

Out of curiosity, does the bonesaw really crit more often than others (thought i saw it written somewhere) or is it just my awesomeness causing it?

On the Valve forums some people were suggesting that they put in some kind of crit-meter, which tells you how much chance you have of crit. Which would be gay, everyone would camp and wait for it to go up and then go in and hope for crits. Also suggested was some kind of way to show when someone had a higher crit chance to other players, also gay, that's just another way of sticking a goddam bullseye over someones head.
Heres to hoping Valve ignore their fans..

I hope so! It's not good to make this game tooooo much user friendly.

crits are ok, imho there is no need to disable it!

I also think that crits are ok, but they just should lower the possibility of crits... I have shotted 4 crit rockets in a row so many times, that it is kind of embarrassing in some situations

Tournament mode seems fun o:
It took some getting used to, but I think the rocket/nades decrease is a good one!

Crits are fine with me
