So people, what's the best film you've seen that's released in 2008 ?

I've not seen a lot of 08 films, but a couple I seen weren't too bad...

Cloverfield is entertaining enough, but to be honest, it's not a patch on the Spanish zombie flick " [-REC] ", which was grittier and had more believable characters and camera work...

Also enjoyed "There Will be Blood" with Daniel Day Lewis... Realistic, grimey and stupendous acting...

Ehm, I guess -REC is my fav of 08 so far...

I almost never go watching Film's in the Cinema, the last one i watched was "Lord of the Rings II" :D

So i can't really say much about that, when i watch TV i use to watch "Giga", some of you may know it, its a game related Show, mostly about new games, new features and also some Shows called "Rofl" and such a stuff, pretty interesting and i like the way they act and moderate the shows, they do it free with some random jokes (i think they are random though) and funny actings, i just like to watch them especially "Giga-Games" Which is every day in the week from Mon - Friday from 22-24pm my time.

Sorry, I should add that I haven't been to the cinema since, ehm, I dunno, about 15 months ago?
The new films I watch are all streamed, either dvd screeners, leaked or sometimes good quality cams... Though I try to avoid any kinda cam recording if possible...

I envy you dude - I wish I could still be as easily entertained by the majority of new releases...
I've found myself going back as far as the 50's for some genuinely entertaining films that had fresh ideas. Even the good new films seem to be remakes of old classics, or cult classics, or American versions of Asian films (cause Americans obviously cant read subtitles while watching a film... I can think of many insults regarding that, but I'll be polite... *RETARDS!!!* sorry  ).

hm haven't watched many 2008 movies...I watched Kautokeinoopprøret, a Norwegian film few of you have probably heard about, it was OK. And I watched No Country for Old Men this Sunday, it was also pretty good. Nothing fantastic though :P

I don't remember seeing many movies of this year...
I guess the best was Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

Kinda hopeless, but improving (121)
Its a toss up between Cloverfield and Rambo for me. If you haven't seen the new Rambo yet, "Graphic" is the word.

thats sad dude :S I don't like cloverfield, tho I like the unique camera-style. and well rambo...it is....wtf it is fucking rambo!!!....at first I thought it would be more of a serious action movie....after the first 30 minutes everything changed and the movie got really messed up :(...you can count rambos dialogs on your fingers.....and well the ending was pretty "unrealistic"....c'mon he shot the whole fucking army with 1 mg....well I was a bit disappointed of this movie. :O
Well I have no fav movies, this year..they kinda all sucked imo..

Well...If the movie is titled RAMBO what can you expect..? Hardly a movie that has good character acting...
With these movies it's all about bodycount and the style that produces that bodycount.. And if you are lucky it might even have a plot innit..

i.e. Shoot 'em up. Very entertaining movie but nothing to do with reality..

Watched, ehm, trying to remember the name... "Stranger than Fiction" (maybe?)
It's a bit older (ie, not an 08 film), but it's fucking genius. A genuinely funny comedy, that also has bits of love in it. Though they REALLY don't get in the way of the film being either funny or clever. The story writer was touched by god obviously when he worked all the turns and development out.

"Are you king of the trolls?"

Classic. Gone straight into my top XX amount of fav films, ever :)
