Having completed the Campaign mode and done quite a few games in multiplayer:
First Impression
Ooooh, shiny
Second Impression
Ewww, buggy
The game graphics and audio is simply unmatched. You are in complete awe over how good it looks, so much that you don't really notice the many bugs at first. There are bugs, quite many, actually.
A bigger frustration, however, is the AI. It's like DICE stood on release day -7 and then figured out they hadn't coded the AI, so they hastily just copied the AI from some random old games. It's annoying storming forward, then suddenly running out of enemies, only because your team has stopped 200 meters behind you, and you have to group up with them. When you get back to the team, they start running forward in the direction you just came from... Oh, and the frustration of having to constantly wait for your team at doors, just because your character has apparently forgotten how to open a door
The enemy AI isn't the best either. You can suppress an enemy who is behind very good cover, and he will all of a sudden think "fuck this", then storm forward into your bullets.
The AI is bad, but the worst is the button smashing sequences. You can storm forward in a fast pace, and all of a sudden some idiot will jump in front of you and try to stab you. Now you can watch your character and the enemy wrestle for upwards of 30 seconds, all while your team is just watching you. In the middle of the sequence you have to press a key/mouse button to get the advantage in the wrestle, and if you are lucky, the sequence will only take up a minute of your time.
The campaign as a whole is very short, and doesn't offer you any choice as to how to complete the mission. Everything is linear and checkpoint based. You cannot decide to smash through the enemy in a tank, the developers have already decided EXACTLY how you should complete the mission.
Oh, and speaking of missions, the last mission is a joke. Seriously. You replay the first mission, and the only thing added is a car chase, where you play as the passenger who have to shoot at the enemy. So what if you don't shoot? Nothing changes, you still get to the end sequence unharmed. The end sequence is the biggest anti-climax of the game. A 3-4 minute sequence where you cannot control your character, all you have to do is press a few buttons once in a while...
