After the wait, the hype and all the expectation of the new medic achievements, it seems that these can simply be unlocked via the console, either all in one go or in the three stages required to gain the weapon upgrades. I can't believe the developers have left in this feature as it renders the achievements completely pointless

While playing on #2 and #4 this morning there was a constant exchange over the type chat with instructions on how to do this. I would like to know whether SpA will (or can) take any action against those who access the upgrades by simply console unlocking the achievements rather than by earning them through gameplay?

We'll now no doubt be faced with a hoard of rampaging, fully upgraded, n00b medics who will just ruin the game for everyone else. I'm sure the server logs will show who used the console to unlock their achievements and so perhaps they could be pointed in the direction of the rest of the annoying haxx0rs out there !!!

I only hope there is an urgent game update that switches off this console feature and resets the achievemets log to pre-goldrush levels.

I agree, it was a total disaster:( I was playing in the same server as you when they started explaining what and where to type...

What I recommend is that passwords are put on every server and told here. And only people registered here can play on the servers.

This pretty much ruined my urge to play TF2 anymore (for the moment).
I logged on today, and lots of people give instructions on how to unlock it all, and the ones who've already done it are trying
to justify it by "it's in the game, so it's okay", and "the command was in before the patch".

If it were up to me they'd all get banned.

I really don't understand why people do this. Everyone have bitched and moaned for months for this update, and when it first
arrives they just type a command in the console and get everything for free. Which leaves them all at pre-patch, only one more
map, and three different weapons for one class. Nothing to look forward to, nothing to work for.

And, those who justify the use of this just annoys me too much.
