Well I have the game, but my PS3 is downstairs hooked up to the big telly. And we got visitors over etc so can't play it now. Not that I'm too fussed about that, I also bought civilization revolution for the 360... which is entertaining me

They gave it 9.9/10. Loved all the other ones but they seem to have redefined it in this one. I haven't got a Ps3 yet because been putting it on hold trying to write my PhD up (as if TF2 isn't a disstraction enough ) but as soon as im done im getting a Ps3 with MGS4 and GTA4 and eagerly anticipating Resident evil 5: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGNvpyfuKVY

I'm going to try and convince my brother to pay half of a PS3+GTAIV (I doubt he'd pay for a MGS4 bundle), and then I'll get MGS4 right away. I really want to play this game.

I loved MG1, hated MG2, they totally fucked up the game when 2 came out for the ps1 or 2 that was I think. Judged on the movie for MG4, they've improved some, but where they fokked up in 2 was the gameplay. Less stealth, more bullshitty tasks, etc.
I hope they did good on the gameplay for 4. I skipped 3, so I don't know how they done from 2 to 3.
But the trailer looks awesome, very curious to the game now, I really hope they'll bring out the game for pc this year somewhere
As I said , I really loved MG1, one of the best multiplayer games I ever played.

Alright I've waded my path through act 1 and am almost at the end of act 2 now (I think). I know there are 5 acts in the game and I've put in around 6 hours by now.

I love it.

There is still a strong emphasis on sneaking Bucky, but sometimes you have to fight (minibosses, bosses and on track shooting). I've basically had one of each of those up till now.

The big difference is that its a war out there, and thus sometimes you will see rebels assault PCM camps and you can make use of their diversion to sneak past. Most of the gameplay is still sneaking about unnoticed and thus firing tranquilizers into heads ^^. Anyhow I think its great up till now.

I still have to finish MGS 2 (as well) bucky, but this one for sure is more varied in enviroments than that one was ^^
