this evening i wanted to test our new us server but couldn't find it in the serverbrowser and via the add new PIE function.
later on saint k. asked me to join but i ended up with the same results

ping command delivers timeouts and the results of tracert look like this:

tracert 8.2.122.164

Routenverfolgung zu 8.2.122.164 über maximal 30 Abschnitte

1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms speedport.ip [192.168.x.x]
2 * * * Zeitüberschreitung der Anforderung.(timeout)
3 8 ms 8 ms 8 ms 217.0.66.202
4 11 ms 11 ms 11 ms f-ea5.F.DE.net.DTAG.DE [62.154.16.165]
5 11 ms 10 ms 10 ms te-4-4.car2.Frankfurt1.Level3.net [4.68.110.253]

and it looks like this when i traceroute specialattack server #1:

tracert 85.17.60.96

Routenverfolgung zu 85.17.60.96 über maximal 30 Abschnitte

1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms speedport.ip [192.168.x.x]

if anyone also experiencing such probs post here, but maybe there's something wrong at my end of the line, hope not :?

Hi,

The error occures when the traffic is still in Germany. Unfortunatly, you'll have to send this to your own ISP to report them that the route to the USA ip is not accessable.

Cheers,

I have no problems to traceroute the US server. Get it with an average ping around 100ms (the NLbased are around 20ms).

Altough I recognized some timeouts for 20ge-chnl.amsix.nkf.leaseweb.net [195.69.145.215] in the route.

Hi,

Your ISP is wrong.

Please do the following;

start -> run -> cmd -> tracert 8.2.122.164

Please post a copy/past from the full results (including the timeouts), then i'll compose a mail for your ISP.

Cheers,

i have posted in the first post, after #5 the timeouts start with no additional information, so it won't help you to do it again, but i'll do
but the next thing is i conntacted a friend of mine living in a village just 10 min away from me and he has the same isp incl. same router and is also not able to ping or traceroute the server, so it is 1. an isp problem or 2. a router problem, but i haven't changed anything in the router config so....

Hi,

Please re-port the trace including the timeouts (it needs to be noob-proof for your ISP to get passed 1st level support). I'll compose a mail for you. (I work in the ISP envoirment :) )

Subject: Routing issue's on 8.0.0.0/8 subnet

Mail;

Hi,

There is currently a issue in the network regarding the routing of the 8.0.0.0/8 subnet USA, New York / New Jersy.

As you can see on the incuded traceroute, the traffic is leaving the local network (hop 1, 192.168.2.1), is router on to be local ISP network
(217.0.66.194), on to the network border at 62.154.16.161. After this it enters level3.net's interconnect at frankfurt were it should be routed
on to the USA, but its not.

Please forward this mail to your NOC. They can initialize a re-route of the traffic or inform level3 about the routing issue.

below you will find an extra traceroute from amsterdam to the target IP 8.2.122.164 so proof the IP and USA network is online and operational.

MrWhite:~# traceroute 8.2.122.164

The Necromancer (4970)
Nope - this clip is quite old and famous - didn't have to search much for it. I remembered "whom should we bomb next" which is only the part with the map and then found the full version in the related videos. ^^

:4 i'm not alone out there :mrgreen:

so my isp is the almighty DEUTSCHE TELEKOM and for what i found out so far is that at least everyone in my village and neighbour-village can't access this ip-adress (range)!!!
sonny is from rheinland-pfalz (if i remember right), just like me, so they probably have cut off the whole state from reaching this ip-range :roll:

but i wonder why??? and i'm still waiting for some answers on my emails :|
