So, i've checked "Show hided and unactivated drivers". It still doesn't show up.

The first thing i did, was googling my situration, and ended up with 1000's of other ppl who had the same problem as me.. THOUGH They were all on a Dell! btw Dell is one of the main reasons this took me SO F***** LONG TIME TO FIX OMG

Anyway.. i'm not on a Dell pc, and i couldn't join everyone elses solution by downloading a new version. So i just thought im gonna live with this PEASE OF SHIT MOTHER ****** CARD AND DRIVER until i get a new one.

So. Friday i was so sick and filled with theese "Can't Allocate Dump 53 blahblahblah!" Source engine crashes. So i took a looky at the Steam support.. And what smashed up into my face.. "FUCK YOU. YOU NEED SERVICE PACK 1. AND WE DON'T CARE IF YOU CAN'T DOWNLOAD BECAUSE MICROSOFT DONT LIKE YOUR PEASE OF SHIT SOUND CARD. PLEASE CONTACT MICROSOFT FOR EVEN WORSE SUPPORT

AGAIN, FUCK YOU... ERRR I MEAN SORRY."

And i thuoght "FUCK IM SCREWED!" Okay, so now i REALLY needed an alternative driver for my shitty sound card!
So.. back 2 google.. And after many hours of surfing on google, i found a dude who actually DIDN'T use DELL. And i was like YEAHHHHHHHHHH. But then i found out he was on something called "Gateway"(wtf?). And this driver was only for Gateway! So i was like OH MY GOD FUCK THERE IS NOTHING WORSE THAN THIS WHAT CAN POSSIBLY MORE BE FUCKED UP???

So i downloaded the package, and i was like WTF MY INTERNET SPEED WENT FROM 0,2MB/S TO 1MB/S????

Anyway yes its true i downloaded it and guess what... OMG FUCK! IT WORKS! SO NOW I BOTH GOT STEREOMIX AND WINDOWS UPDATES OFFERS ME OFFICIALLY SP1!

But! but! but! This i just experienced today:

So i began installing SP1. Great. I WOULD LIKE TO RESTART SO I CAN TOUCH AND PLAY AND FUCK WITH YOU FILES PLEASE, screams Windows Update.
So i restarted.. Great.. Part one of 3.. 1%............2%................3%........ oh fuck this im gonna watch some pr0n WAIT I CAN'T CAUSE I CAN'T USE MY PC AT ALL WHILE INSTALLING THEESE UPDATES OH GREAT NOW I HAVE TO GO OUTSIDE.

Though the weather was nice, so i biked a bit..

When i came home again 3 out of 3, 99%......100%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:..............................................................................................................

maybe this is a bit of a feministic solution, but you could by yourself a dildo and everytime you need anger relief, you could take the dildo (preferrably quite long, the tarzan would do good in this situation) and slap it as hard as you can on the edge of your desk, or throw it to the wall, that also does wonders to you cooling down

Maybe a more decent solution,buy yourself a proper sound card. Go to the store where you bought that sound card, take your newly acquired dildo and threat the vendor that if he doen't let you change the soundcard for a decent one, you'd slap the living shit out of him with your dildo!

Yeah I've recently been having problems with my onboard sound. Namely cause it's complete balls. The biggest problem being it's absolutely atrocious mic input. Basically I came to the conlusion that if I didn't want to burst my ear drums by listening to a high pitched infinite loop of whatever is played into the mic (and in some cases this can even be silence... ) then I have to turn the mic boost, input volume and all sorts of shit down really low.

The obvious problem is, when in TF2 nobody can hear me or I'm barely audible. When I got this I read that it was Realtek HD 7.1 and I thought that it sounded like the business. It's not the business, it's shit.

So I borrowed an old Creative Labs 128 bit card from my Uncle in the meantime and it fixed the problem immediately. Mainly the problem that I couldn't use the mic. I would have bought a better card, it's not like they're expensive, it's just I'm buying a graphics card this week so I don't have the cash. I might also pick up some RAM so Graphics and RAM >>>>> Sound.

It's not like I have a 7.1 system anyway. I just use a pair of Sennheiser headphones cause they are the best and I love them

most mobos have built in soundcards. You can just disable it and install a real soundcard.
