Meh, have a look at the top 20, and tell me how many of those do not have the soldier/demoman/sniper as a main class?

I cry everytime I see a guys profile with more sticky kill than normal pipebombs. Seriously its sad, and its like playing tf2 on easy mode.

I played soldier for a couple of days and managed to boost myself up to position 4 easily. I didn't suddenly become a way better player or anything, just had a more powerful class. Anyhow I'm back to maining my pyro again. See if I can hold onto a top 20 position.

As I stated after thinking another round on this: I'm quite sure that this is a bug based on the session time. In addition the current PS install is some nightly build (is this right, techteam?) and even in the next release (3.2) the live stats won't be final.

Hmm... only possible way to "fix" this would be changing the weapon values, but this way you'll never get a scout into the top 20.

Okay I'm sorry, apperantly i'm wrong and not every player in the top 20 plays mostly demoman/soldier/sniper. Or wait even better the best players play those classes obviously! And no I'm not saying I am sooo much better than anyone. I say that I have more respect for people who play scout/spy/engi/pyro and manage to get top score or a good spot on the leaderboard. Since those classes are more difficult to perform well with.

But, nvm I will only get flak from people who play demoman the (in my opinion) lamest way, soldiers and snipers. Oh and I noticed you are one of the people with more sticky than normal kills on your profile. Guess thats why you gave me an outlash. Sorry just my opinion. Stickies are just too good.

Why wouldn't a sticky kill be a "normal" kill though? It's part of his arsenal, it's there to be used just as the first gun. I don't see one as more normal.
I do agree that stickes should get a little nerf though.

But again, my aim is absolutely lousy so I do have to rely on stickies a lot of the time, but I see them as too valuable of a tactical asset.
I should mention I was one of the people that never got why people complained about "camping" even in quake (even though I didn't camp since it would upset people so).

Other than that, I still maintan that medics get completely shafted in the skill system.

Yep, and as a demo I use the pipe alot more than I do the stickies...I usually put them on the CP

If you play demoman good you'll always have more sticky kills than grenade. Otherwise you'll be a spammer...
And don't say "oh sticky launcher is the secondary weapon". Maybe it should be the primary because it's just better than the grenade launcher and do more damage.

If you play demoman good you'll always have more sticky kills than grenade. Otherwise you'll be a spammer...

The weapon is just too powerfull, yesterday I used it for a bit and I didn't really even try aiming much I just spammed stickies and detonated them. Hardly anyone got through and hardly anyone tried to get through. Most people take a different route. With 8 stickies and 2 stickies = kill almost everything you can basically keep an area totally shut down for as long as you have sticky ammo.

And its the only secondary weapon that makes more kills than the primary, so yeah perhaps they should be changed around. But even then it would still need some nerfing in my opinion. Stickies right now are making killing a little bit to easy. Stickies were intended to be used to block of paths and to lay traps. Not to gunho towards the battleline blowing up people left and right

It should be made so that the stickies work kind of like the snipers zoom. Example you lay astickie down and you detonate it in 1 second and it inflicts 10 dmg... you detonate it after 2 seconds and it inflicts 20 dmg and so on forth.

Yep, thats my idea as well. It would still allow the demoman to take down sentries etc (besides normal grenades around a turret kill it as well), and still allow it with an uber as well since you get 10 seconds to place all your stickies (again the 4 pipebombs directly hitting the turret kill it since the RoF is fast enough) and by the end of 10 seconds you are retreated and blow the stuff up. It would also allow the other team to try and move the stickies out of harms way.

Should post that in comedy section ^^

I know you aren't serious, but still one heavy turns to face him and that pyro would have been dead meat before he would have gotten in range.

Still that was funny, sort of made me remember my airblasting people of capture C at gravelpit. Just kept blasting everyone of while capping the point myself.

Yeah I find that playing Soldier and Demo (especially demo) is too easy now, so I'm trying to even it out with a bit of scouting, which is definitively not a overpowered class. Its just that I like playing offensive classes, and scout is not always the best choice in certain situations (sentry spam for example), so then I have to go demo or soldier. Btw I fail at spy.

I don't think they should nerf any classes though, we shall see how the game evovles as they release weapon updates :)
