This is totally random but (i think Mint) said something in another post and it made me wonder, do you usually play on one specific SpA server or do you just go with any that's not full?

Is there a point to this topic? My curiosity, so yes.

If a server is full most SpA members go on a servers that requires filling so the answer for me would be exactly that, I don't go on a particular server by number, just one that requires filling. Only time I maybe pick a server is if I feel like playing on the custom maps (server 5), I never play the arena server

I have always said that I am a Server 1 fanboi! But when I feel like playing, I usually first check server 5. If it has 5 or more people playing, I tend to go there instead!

Server 6, that is now renamed server ehm 4? Just because it was the only server where the melee plug in worked (well sort of). Otherwise all the servers cept custom and arena

true enough... we have so many different members, and everyone have their own favorites... to me.. well it doesn't really matter which server I'm on, as long as I'm playing with my buddies... which tends to play on server 3 and 5.

personally I'd like to fill the arena server as much as possible.. but no one seems to care about it which is a shame tbh...

SpA servers of course. I don't join the arena servers, the custom one and try to avoid the 30man server. From the rest I join the one with more friends playing

May I add an additional question to the OP?:

Why do you try to avoid the custom map server?

Are there any specific maps in the rotation you dislike?

I tend to believe that most custom maps on server 5 has a much better map-design and gameplay than most of the official maps, because we are very selective about the maps that get added.
Freight > Well
Amsterdam > Goldrush
Mach4 > 2fort
Redstone > Badlands
... and so on.

If we could get server 5 as full over the day as server 1, then I would play nowhere else. Therefore I am keen on learning why server 5 isn't working properly!

Yeah, Spike, you're right - our MC is superior - even in the gameplay-type alternation. ^^

However, that won't be for long since Victor fixed the SpA plugin and other servers will be undergoing a MC redesign as well... Saint announced it a while ago on the forum.

Back on topic: I only play on SpA servers and mostly on Custom Map Server #1 (formerly known as Server #5). Not even because I'm some kind of custom map fanboy but because I'm a fan of varied gameplay and TF2 has had too few maps in the beginning (for my tastes). I played the custom maps from our MC so many times that they feel like standard ones to me but at least the rotation isn't repetitive considering it's 20 maps or so. ^^

Yeah, I'm one of the guys that wouldn't touch a 24/7 single map server with a stick and simply can't stand playing even the best and most popular maps more than like once a day... I mean - goldrush, yeah, I like the map but I recently realized how "menial" the gameplay has become for me. I know where to place sentries, I know where the enemy sentries will be, I know where the choke points are etc. *yawn*
I'm not a pr0 gamer to improve my skills through repetition and prefer fresh gameplay. This is also a reason why I'm doing so well on custom maps initially while all the "good" players are whining that they are getting lost. I dare say that I have above average orientation skills and better adapt to new environments although with time I'm quickly outplayed by others catching up. =)

Usually the server with most friends on it, otherwise it's the server I go in to get it filled.. and last but definitely not least.. the warserver holds a special place in my hearT~0_o<3

I tend to choose a non full or empty server, or the custom map one from times. Mostly I gravitate towards where McBiff is playing though since we know eachother since way back.
