amusingly, over at the official valve forums, some guys are speculating that the update isn't a real update at all, but is actually the spy update (lulz) 'in disguise'.

they're talking complete rubbish ofc, but it's good for a laugh

that made me lol, ran across it on gamefaqs forums, don't know why i go in there, full of morons but you find out rumours and stuff.

without clicking link i'm assuming it's the facepunch topic, it's quite interesting aint it. But i love scout so i'd be pretty annoyed if it was spy update :P

Although valve already said they would have to do the spy update and the sniper update in one (yes.. yes... yes...) so then i'd be super happy :P

I was browsing through various stats, and i am by no means a bad scout, not anymore anyway ;P This just struck me as a little odd, i mean, note the demoman playtime especially.

I started browsing since i just survived for 16 mins as scout in a 26 player match, so i'm pretty pleased with myself :P

In and out, LIKE A VIPER! or a kitten, something totally scary anyway >=O

Oh yeah my point, this screeny proves scouts don't get many points xD I have a much better average as spy, which is my worst class by far, not only am i the most obvious spy in the world, i totally suck at everything spy related.

You got 30avrg points as demo? So..err...a 20kpd ratio (minimum) with him? In fact, how exaclty do you get a 30poitns average with 21 max kills, but as soldier? xD

Don't know how it works, tbh, i've arsed about with Demoman a bit, soldier i've had some good games as, i wouldn't say i average 20 points a round though, or whatever... Must of been from caps/defences? however demomen get points, i don't remember arsing about with demoman killing bots or whatever, but i might of done lol. Still a one off shouldn't effect the average so amazingly?

the stats are wierd though if it thinks you've gained too much too quick or whatever it doesn't record them, i've done better as heavy but it didn't count it xD

Well, those average points aren't per round, they're per life. So if you got 30avr points as demo per life and 21 as soldier, you're pretty close to a pub god.

Well i can confidently say i don't average at 30 points a life as demo..

Not soldier either :P I got that 21 kills once, got a medic on me with the kritz...

It makes no sense.

but what does make sense, is the Scout problleeeeem >_<! lol, if i could erase the demoman stat i probs would, seems fishy to me.

i've done achievement servers a couple times, but not for demo? :P

I'm not f'in about for medic unlocks and heavy unlocks.

On a serious note though, my lowest average are also with scout. Aaaand spy, but I never play that. So scout. Myeah, you're right scouts don't really get that many points. :P Well, not in pubs at least.

I earnt my medic/heavy unlocks more than using the .exe thing. :P

I can honestly say i suck as soldier, i've only totally dominated once or twice, that time i got the 21 kills was nice.

I dnt get how average works, it obviously doesn't make sense :P

I once got 50 points as a sniper.... Almost did a clean round, when I got backstabbed 5 secodns before the end of the round =(

Put sentry here, I was able to score 23 kills from that spot ;] Of course they need to cap A first. And funny thing I never saw sentry here built by other players, and it can easily stop first rush to E, as you can build lvl3 sentry there withing installation. Theres one angle in that spot, that can cover 95% of area, you just need to watch out for spies and people running below you next to the wall.

I got 46 points in one life as an engie by putting the sentry on the top of the small shed just outside the BLU spawn on the second stage of Dustbowl!

Yep they usually came about 6pm ET ( eastern time in USA ). And every sentry spot is good, unless spy/uber comes :mrgreen:

It's easier for demo's to do it when there are lots of other enemies around the sentry your trying to destroy. Some sentry positions are only good due to there being cover from your teammates :|

I don't see why some people feel the need to run into a sentries view to destroy it, unless there are enemies blocking the one easy way to destroy the sentry.

LOL. If i ever saw an airblast pyro in a pub game doing that i'd be happy lol.

I stopped playing engi muchly because my sentries are so weak, area denial is fine, except you never get any action. Then a demo comes along and BOOM.
