Sorry, what else to call this topic? This is just so cool it deserves a mention here, the list of games is impressive and some of my all time absolute NOSTALGIC MANLOVE, are right there (Oh Cannon Fodder, how i have missed you..)

Considering getting Cannon fodder 1 or 2 to work on vista or xp is like getting blood from a stone, that came from the lost city of Atlantis, i'm quite impressed with this idea.

LiveDosGames is a free, portable, fast Linux Operating System, which contains old, but legendary Dos games. It's small, so it can be stored on an USB stick, but it doesn't mean that it doesn't contain the everyday, general programs(Media Player, Picture Viewer etc.). If you would miss something(Games, different editors etc.) then with a click you can activate it, and it automatically puts itself to the menu, it doesn't need any installation and configuring.

Ok so i haven't actually tried it yet, but it's in PC Gamer magazine so it must be cool :P

It can boot from either a CD or USB pen, it doesn't mess with your OS or the computer you're running it on, it just boots and has internet access etc etc. Lovely.

Well worth checking out. Just hope it works as well as it seems.

Cool.

The other solution would be getting any dos game you like, installing dosbox*: http://www.dosbox.com/, putting on your cape and wizard hat and play Betrayal at Krondor 'till your hands drop! :D

*the correct linux release of course

Like Sebas said - running DOS games with DOSBox is pretty easy so while this is also a nice idea, I'll stick to not having to put anything on a USB stick and not utilizing another OS*. ^^

*DOSBox works on Windows as well.

Cool.

This appeals more to me because it's got games ready to go, and more ready to dl.

I don't know if ALL the games listed are legal as I haven't checked them all, but most of them should be. :)

Did you burn it as a BOOTABLE DVD? There's a special option for that with most burning software...

It booted fine, just a problem with the software it seems.

Missing files it needs or something like that.
