Wow, well, I've been s*i*c*k!

Just back at work after 1 month and a half of sick with not 1, or 2, but 3 m07herf\/ck3r5 of serious back problems...
Spend the whole time in bed, playing trials2 -bedroom pc is too crap to do much else, and couldn't move anything to take
my own pc through- and learning to read actual books again... Had insane painkiller cocktails to tide me through...

So, I'm kinda alive again after daily exercises, physio appointments twice a week, accupuncture and tens treatment!

Don't get older kiddies! :D

So, hi all, again, again, again...

PS. I've setup a Trials2 SpecAttack team, if you wanna join - pm me here or irc, or msn me, or steamfriend me or whatever!

Well, I've had a slipped disc in the thorax area of my back since I was about 17... At Christmas I got something new, turned out that one of the little triangles of bone to the right side of disc 4 in my vertebrae was immobile, it then also gave me sciatica! Awesome, stuff that a 50yr old should get!

Still, tramadol and cocodamol together are pretty pleasant... Diazapan and cocodamol just ruins you, I was in a total stupor - thankfully my back was so fked that I couldn't go out like that ;)

^^ I could manage a low walk right now, never mind an elastisteel high kick or whatever :P

Welcome back, and nice to meet ya!

got a collegue who's got a fused disk, very painful for her, can't sit too long can't stand too long!

Apparently since she's 22 she's too young to have a fused disk since that only happens to elderly, but unofficially that's what it is.

Doctors diagnoses bizarre!

anyway welcome back :p

If a Doctor diagnosed something that was wrong with me as "Bizarre" I might want a second opinion.

Preferably from somebody who had actually learnt what they were taught at Medical school and weren't just there so they could have Dr. on their mail.

You can get back problems at any age; it's just more common to get them in later life.

I was 17 with a slipped disc. That's rare in itself, but the location of the disc puts me in under 3% of all people with slipped discs, combined with my age at the time, I had something that was probably as rare as a Kangaroo in Scotland...

You can get a fused disc since birth; I have an older friend who's had disc 3 and 4 stuck together, since birth as far as the doctors could tell. She didn't find out until she was in her 50's...

It is really REALLY rare to find a doctor who's very good with Back problems; I've seen about 10 different specialists and this is the first one that's actually found the root of all the problems...

***Oh aye, and cheers for all the welcome backs! Makes me feel warm and fuzzy somewhere special :P
