Anyone here that can be arsed to play this game with me?

For those who dont know: Its a free mod for everyone that owns HL2 (or a similar game like CS:S, TF2 etc.) and it features a similar fast-paced gameplay that TFC had. Its kinda fun to play (even if you suck ) and a nice change from TF2 tbh.

Sadly its community isnt very big (probably because it almost got released the same day as TF2 but had way more bugs and gameplay flaws) and there are like 3-4 servers that are somewhat well-visited from which 2-3 stand in NA.

I downloaded it, played it and then went back to TF2.

is that game really fun, I think it look pretty boring on the game plays But I have not tried it should do it

Game is pretty good, reminds me TFC a bit, but more players should play it :/ .

Tried this game ages ago. Wasn't a big fan, not sure if much has changed but there was only like 2 maps and some classes were incredibly unbalanced.

The game isnt unbalanced - its just that everyone in TF2 is used to choosing demoman, getting a random Medic, killing 8 enemies in a row, getting the flag/cp and go ahead with the killing spree, or choosing the demoman for defense and killing 8 enemies in a row (assuming youre an above-average player on a publicserver)(Same with most other classes).

In TFC/FF you have to choose: Do you want to be a fast light-armed light-armoured person to fake the enemies (not killing them, or at least not much of them) and capture the flag, or do you you want to be slow but have much armour and big guns thus being the perfect guy to defend the own flag as long as youre patient but mostly not being the one that is capping the flag. You cant do both with any class, every class has its role and is only effective if its played in this particular role. In TF2, every class can be played in every role (to a certain extent).

I dont say FF/TFC is better than TF2 or the other way round - its just different and its nice to have some variety. If someone says FF/TFC is unbalanced he didnt look deep enough into the game (same with TF2).

I played it for a bit, must say I enjoyed it.. except for the elitist bitches that like to badmouth if people do something wrong o:
It took me a while to get used to actually being able to see a friendly spy as an enemy 0_0 Kept shooting the poor kid..

And I came across some maps I had not played in years that aren't in tf2.. aww :/

Just ignore those people (not necessarily only FF but in all games or mods) - in the end it's they who'll look bad.

Not necessarily a bad thing (if theres no friendly fire). You keep the illusion

I'll check it out, tfc was the reason I got steam, and a sourcemod seems nice!
