Im just wondering aobut it....why we has it...why we dont have it anymore and what it was with al those popcorns. The mod was so fun :mrgreen:

I'll re-enable the server once the error messages are fixed.

The plugin still requires ALOT of work thought, specially on the emplacement of the popcorn as you could notice. It now tends to stack it at huge piles were it should spread it evenly around the map.

Server doesn't seem to be configured properly either. :P

On Dustbowl the popcorn spawned in one place, only accessible by RED during setup. The teleport popcorn also has a chance of teleporting you to a different stage.

Also it shouldn't be connected to the stats, because it is a mess around server and has nothing to do with skill (even less than the normal publics).

certain maps should be moved from the map cycle, like Badwater, no clue why, but there didn't spawn any popcorn at all, gold rush should be moved too, since you can teleport outside the "map" and the popcorn spawns behind the part of the map being played..

I think the mod should simply be removed until it's fixed - these are obviously problems with Popcorn, not with the maps themselves.

I think the whole thing has some potential but is simply incredibly bugged - I don't know what our "SpA Quality Standards" have to say about that...

Rune MODs have been very popular since the dawn of multiplayer FPSes but I think they're more suited for altering the gameplay of "serious" games that have very limited gameplay possibilities. As it is TF2 is both more fun with some crazy abilities and perhaps doesn't need gameplay enhancements as it is - we'll have to wait until this crap is fixed to evaluate it more clearly.

It's a *testing* server. We're providing active feedback to the developper and he is fixing the stuff we tell him about.

Probably the worst problem is that the popcorn is a physic prop and you get stuck in them everytime if you cant eat them anymore (because you had 1 already). I'd suggest the developer to make the effects wear off after eg 30secs so you can eat another popcorn, or maybe if you ate one popcorn and then eat another, the old one has no effect anymore. This way you cant get stuck in them (or not as often for the first).
