Ok... today I cannot play TF2. During the first loading screen an error in the background pops up (only recognized it cause of Windows pling)... now the crazy part:

The error states something like: Please check if you have the latest Falcon drivers. Could not connect to hdl.dll

Only ****ing Falcon I know is that crazy game controller which support was added for BF2 lately. Did this shit broke my TF2? Nevertheless I can close that error and go back to the game... but as soon as I connect the game crashes totally in the "Sending client information" state with an error like "Internal engine error" and an out of memory hint (while shitload of mem is still free).

No TF2.

Edit: Seems I'm not alone.

You could try go into your Steam settings, and choose the Falcon beta. Maybe installing the beta will help.

Aha! I'll just go the other way round and drop that beta programm. Seems I've missclicked and choosen that stupid beta for the Falcon instead of the Steam client one. o_O

Thanks for the headsup. Already had forgotten that I've choosen a beta there and normally the Steam client betas are running fine. Stupid Falcon shit . And why does EP2/Portal beta break TF2? Can we play TF2 with Falcon controller too, if it's implemented in the HL2 engine?

but this remark was just funny

I had the same errors yesterday although i dont participate in any betas...i thought my cpu o/c was unstable so im back at stock settings now and had no errors today.
I also had lots of crashes in-game with looping-sound freezes and nv4_disp.dll errors XD

Hope its just valve and not a hardware issue
